Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaNo hairdryer. Steep staircase to access room.
Full shared kitchen facilities and lovely lounge with large tv. We were lucky enough to be the only guests that night.

AustraliaPrivate bathroom was separate from the room, wasn’t an issue this time as we were the only guests.
Clean rooms, friendly owners, central location, above a cafe also run by the same people that make a great breakfast.

AustraliaSee above. Liked all the furnishings and how immaculate and tidy it was. The stairs front and rear a challenge for an 86 y.o. with osteoarthritis. Lots of crockery. Not many glasses.
The visit was spoilt by the broken lower shower head which leaked from the bottom and sprayed all over the room including the toilet which had to be wiped down with the hardest towels we have ever encountered.

AustraliaNothing that I can think of.
We didn't have breakfast, but what was available looked great. The bed was super comfortable and the bed linen very nice. Off-street parking was fine, and it was central to all of the main street including restaurants and pubs.

AustraliaThere was a very noisy air conditioner on a property next door That operated from 10 o’clock pm to 7 o’clock am. I had a very sleepless night. There is a shared kitchen and living room which is not declared. I would not stay in this accomodation again.

AustraliaI couldn't find a hairdryer
It was in a great location, right on the main street, easy walking distance to everything. The bed was really comfy and the kitchen was well equipped. Lovely furnishings. Sadly the cafe downstairs was closed on the morning that we checked out, so we couldn't have breakfast there

AustraliaLocated n the middle of town, it has a beautiful country charm about it. When you arrive you check in at the Paragon Cafe. Rooms are a nice size with beautiful linen and very comfy mattress. The King room has an ensuite, however the queen rooms have their private bathroom as a separate room. Think of it like being at home, you need to go into the mini hall to go to the bathroom. Like being at home you have a shared kitchen, dining and lounge room. It is a really lovely stay, my favourite place to stay in West Wyalong!

AustraliaOur bathroom was outside our bedroom - ie it could have been shared by others. The bedroom door locked then you came out into a little hall and the bathroom was there.

AustraliaSee above. Do not prefer this type of accommodation. Will choose more carefully next time. Will totally avoid b&,b"s.
Room was large but no wardrobe. Bathroom was also large. Dining room and lounge very roomy and comfortable. But you have to share with other tenants. Subsequently we never used them. This should have been made more clear in information privided at booking time.

AustraliaUnfortunately our bathroom was separate to our bedroom - so not as private as we would have liked. This was not the case for all the patrons.
The bed was very comfy with lovely sheets - large TV in a separate lounge - this with the dining room and kitchen were shared areas.

AustraliaThe rooms are on the upper floor, so there is a steep staircase to negotiate, but once upstairs it's all really beautiful.
There were some breakfast supplies in a well equipped kitchen. it was a welcome change from staying in a Motel. The bathroom and kitchen were all brand-new and super clean, we would stay there again and can highly recommend this apartment.
