I was having day surgery the next day at the hospital next door and it was so conveniently located. The room was very comfortable and the shower was hot! I also liked how I had a mini kitchen that came in very handy.

Front of office staff couldn't do enough to help me. Of particular note was the lady who checked me out on the Sunday. She was extremely pleasant, remembered my name, looked after my bags whilst we attended a seminar after checking out, arranged airport taxis, remembered my name again and made the effort to say goodbye with a warm genuine smile! I said to my son at the time how lovely and helpful she was and we both agreed it makes you want to come back again.

The shower head was terrible, not much pressure at all. As an Accor member, I know I’m only “classic”, but still had to pay $16 for parking and not any cheaper rate for breakfast. So needless to say went to the shopping centre to eat.

Jack is very suited being the first person you see when be greeted. He was a lovely young man, helpful and polite.

The location was great! It was also good that the hotel offers us one laundry wash, which was much needed during our stay.

The breakfast provide onsite didn't represent value for money. You had to pay full price regardless of whether you wanted hot breakfast or continental. Key part of hot breakfast were scrambled eggs which in the severing dish were rubbery an uninviting. Choose to have breakfast at one of nearby cafes.

The Mercure is very easy to travel to being just off the M2 and it is also very convenient for people from outside Sydney who need to access the Macquarie University Hospital.

A large group was booked on the same floor as us and our room happened to be in the middle of this group. On the first night at approx midnight I had to knock on the door of the room next door to ask them to keep the noise down and also turn off the music. This was after a couple of hours of raucous noise, both from rooms near us and also in the hallway. Constant banging on room doors and constant knocking on doors up and down the passageway. I also went to down and spoke to the night manager. On the second night of our stay it was almost a repeat of the first night. This time the manager came up to the floor and spoke to occupants of a number of rooms. This was also at about midnight.

Staff were very friendly and responsive.

Location was great , very close to hospital if visiting , parking onsite was great , cost an extra $15 p/d. Happy hour was great - free snacks $7 beers , friendly staff (doesn’t have a ‘bar’ atmosphere though) but still great service . Room service was great (with limited menu)

Whilst breakfast was available each morning, it would be helpful to have more evening meal options (room service menu was limited).

Very convenient location next to hospital for my husband's surgery. Pleasant, peaceful surrounds, landscaped outdoor areas. Very handy to have access to a laundry.

Very convenient to MUH. Good sized room with pleasant view. Comfortable and clean. Convenient kitchen appliances, jug, microwave and mini-frig. Handy laundry. Will stay longer during my husband's hospital stay. Good price.
