How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Great location with Chinese food downstairs and dozens of restaurants nearby. Walking distance to small museum and gallery. Found an interesting shop of models from anime and such called Sugo. Pool table.

Service. The staff weren’t so helpful. The staff at the bar handles check-ins so poorly. There is no drinking kept in the room. When asked they gave a freezing water bottle from the fridge without a lid. There was no hairdry. I had to wait until the next day to ask for it.

Wifi slow.
Great price at only $105 for the night! Fresh air great too via balcony. Close to Hurstville station and shops/ Staff were wonderful and very helpful. They heated up my soup in the microwave at the bar and provided complimentary bottled water. Hotel has a bar downstairs open late and Chinese restaurant. Hotel rooms are going through renovations. Bathroom was nice and new with great natural light for make-up etc. Room a little dated however I'm sure will be updated soon. :)

The Queen room was too small. On your booking confirmation you state that the room has dining area. However, the room didn't have any dining area. We also were promised to get a bigger room next day but it didn't happen. The toilet sink was blocked on arrival but we got it fixed later on.
Friendly cleaners. Good location.

There were unfixed damages to the room, hole behind the door, wardrobe handle comes off, and wardrobe hinge loose The toilet seat was loose and the bathroom ceiling has mold. The ceiling light covers could use a clean as well. Booking.com pics for a triple room are incorrectly shown. The pics that are shown with lovely beds and narrow balcony is the DELUXE room on the 2nd floor. The bedding underlays/protectors, had blood stains on it. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNHYGIENIC

Some biscuits. Hair cap, sanitary bags . The room smelled of cigarettes, which wasn’t pleasant.
I didn’t have breakfast. The shower was excellent. The bad was comfy.

No onsite parking, takes a long time to look for one. Had to park in the mall and was a bit lost trying to get back to the car park because of how big the mall is.

Another mirror in the room would be great. The mirror over the toilet in the bathroom was not good - sitting on the toilet to put makeup on is pretty bad.
Location was amazing - close to the train & Westfield. There was no noise from the pub at all on the nights we stayed - very impressed!

Checking in was not clear, it's at the bar, a bit annoying dragging luggage through the bar. Cracked tile and broken stopper in bathroom, which I think they didn't know about because they don't clean behind the door. Previous guest left jacket and bag in closet. Again, was clean enough, just.
The price was good. Location, not far from trains and pizza place accross the road was nice, but no gluten free. Was clean enough, I think

No real view of anything. Slap bang in the heart of the Chinese Community so you feel like the odd one out
The Location is approximately 3 mins walk from the Railway Station. Regular trains from Early Hours to the End of the Day that connect you with Sydney . Easy reach of the Harbour via Railway or even the Airport is near enough for a Train. Local shopping centre has a few cafes in it and a cheap supermarket is right inside the Railway Station before you entrer through the barriers.

That you had to check in at the bar. The room was a bit on the small size but was ok. Noisy air conditioning unit in room plus air conditioning units on the outside making noise making it hard to get proper sleep. No great view out of my window. Only the roof top area of building.
A very clean and tidy hotel. Very close to public transport and Westfield Hurstville for shopping and eating out. Clean and very tidy room. Very comfortable bed and nice size bathroom.

No street drop-off point, and no onsite parking - found parking can be expensive! Room was comfy but small, so no space for a table nor chairs. Some noise intrusion from industrial aircons.
This hotel accepts cash - you can avoid paying card surcharges! Close to buses and rail station. Our room bathroom was refurbished and modern.

A few cockroaches in the bathroom.
It's very close to the city center (the Hurstville train station is in a few hundred meters away), the room is quiet, and the staff is friendly.

Perfect accommodation for what we needed. The rooms were clean and tidy as well as spacious. The air conditioning was also very good.
