Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThe wifi was non existent in the hotel at all. Not in our hotel room. When showering the shower temp when hot is too high and you burn your feet. When trying to adjust it, it gets too cold. Shower head also Hit out heads too many times. The jacuzzi tub did not have a plug for it.

AustraliaThere was a huge issue on the Saturday due to lift maintenance & malfunction at the peak arrival time of 3-4 pm. Staff were far too slow to respond and take control of the loading & unloading of more than 60 people until several of us had made four trips up & down 51 floors & 10 basements without getting access to our floor. Prompt managerial action was needed as soon as numbers banked up. A note of apology would have been appreciated.
We have stayed in other Meriton apartments in Sydney, this is the best location so far. The presentation & inclusions are always very good quality and thoughtfully chosen to cater for most needs.

AustraliaSome of the staff weren't helpful and were abrupt and slightly rude when asked if it was possible to check in early. I was told an abrupt No and that check in was at 3pm. I understand that there is a designated check in time, but other hotels I have stayed at have tried to find away to assist me. Not enough towels in the room, but room service was really quick when asked for more. A staff member spoke rudely to one of my friends that arrived separately to myself later in the evening. Yelling out to her rather than calling her over politely and questioning her as to what room she was in and etc.
Location was perfect! And the view from the room was amazing.

AustraliaUnfortunately, I found the staff to be unfriendly, both at check-in and check-out. There was also mould in the bathroom. I took photos to alert the staff. However, upon checkout, the staff member took our keys and sent us on our way and didn’t give the time of day.
The property was spacious and comfortable, and was in a fantastic location in the heart of the city. Close to public transport.

AustraliaWe were notified that one of the elevators wasn't working and that it could take some time for the remaining 2 elevators to arrive, which was okay, except a second elevator broke down and so one elevator for everyone wasn't sufficient. Apparently the other Meriton Suites nearby are better (according to a fellow traveller). There was also a number of technical outages which meant the room/lift key wouldn't work.
The location was perfect for us, the parking was great. Lots of places around to go to for food, shopping etc. Extremely close to Town Hall train station and the tram.
