How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The bed wasn’t comfortable at all could feel the springs in my back, along with the pillows being too lite The shower water pressure kept getting low then high then nearly stopping and starting constantly
Always liked the Metro been there a dozen of times

Minimum hours service. Short hours for breakfast and dinner. Not able to get a coffee during the day. Cockroaches appeared one night.

The room we stayed in, looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed, the shower door was broken, so the water went all over the floor and the shower hot water system fluctuated hot and cold, burning us. There was mould in the shower. I did report this to the front desk, hoping to get a partial refund which would be great, and I was told that won’t happen. We have always liked this hotel, but I’m not sure we will stay again
We have stayed here multiple times in the past, due to the location.

The room I stayed in had a photo with a balcony and when I got there it didn’t have a balcony

Water temperature in the shower would continually rise and fall without adjusting the taps There was a young child in a room above and was running around quite a lot and the noise would echo into our room below, not the end of the world but a couple of minor things if giving honest feed back, Overall though a quality room at a reasonable rate, cheers.
Excellent view of the river and city, room was spacious and great bed

Breakfast only served in restaurant , evening meals you ordered was room service only. The pizza I ordered did not arrive after 45 mins. Receptionist went to chef in kitchen. I waited next to kitchen while I thought new pizza was being prepared. Finally pizza in box came out . They had given me a cold pizza and obviously this was the one ordered earlier. I complained, refused a replacement and got money back. Question.... why would a chef (or cook) feel this is okay ? I saw many people return with takeaway food which is exactly what I did for the rest of my stay. Why on earth not open up the restaurant area? Room I was in toilet location to shower I had to sit 'side saddle'. I’m slender and you couldn’t sit straight on toilet seat.
Room size very good and so was bathroom except layout....

The staff members that I engaged with were rude. I almost walked away when checking in, as the lady that was checking me in was extremely rude to myself and another guest.

the bed was the worst mattress that we have slept on in a number of years we have been staying there, your beds have all ways been 100% comfortable in all the years. this was not good. sorry but may need to replace it.

No parking at site, had to park on street. The lobby not very inviting, the carpet was disgusting, needs to be replaced. Felt like the place needed to be updated. Probably wouldn’t stay there again.
Close to the crown casino, was clean, had its own balcony. Was ok for one night stay, price was good for one night.

Hotel feels a bit old (stained carpet and furniture, dusty lift, messy carpark). There is no direct lift from the carport so you need to carry your suitcase up stairs first. The desk was a little small to work from.
Good value for money. Location was good and easy to get to.
