Lovely tents - nicely decorated, comfortable bed, great bathroom. Wood for fire pit with marshmallows to toast. Night fire and the night sky are amazing . Landscaping will be good once it is more established (will increase the feeling of privacy). There is a pool (not heated). Great internet. Has an upmarket feel. Breakfast included in the price. Nice for one night

Firstly, yes, it's not cheap. However, it was worth very cent. We received a phone call to say we could arrive early if we wanted to as our tent was ready. McKenzie gave us a comprehensive tour of the retreat and answered all of our questions. The tent had everything we needed and more. Oh, the bed, the bed wqs amazing. I can't say enough about this place. If I could rate it a bonus star, I would.

We enjoyed our stay and really cannot think of anything that could be better without just being picky.

The location was fabulous and as we were there in Winter we got to enjoy rugging up around a campfire gazing at the Milky Way. We loved the comfortable bed and the aspect from our bed.

First Glamping experience, enjoyed it. Own personal little fie pit, great place for sunset photos, friendly horses that roam around the property. Not to far from the main town of Longreach.

Complimentry Breakfast was delivered every morning and even delivered the day before if we had to leave early for a day trip. They were home made muffins, home made fruit toast and yoghurt and Granola with all the toppings! Yhe best was so comfy and was one of the best night sleeps. The services was amazing and Mackenzie was the best! Thank you for a beautiful stay for my birthday!

The breakfast was simple but delicious, the beds were amazing!! Loved everything about our glamping tent. Fantastic outlook, very quiet, loved the individual firepits, enjoyed meeting our neighbours and having a drink by the fire. Will definitely get back there.

Nothing at all! It was excellent!

The tents were amazing and you could tell that no money had been spared when they designed and fitted out the retreat. The owners and their son were lovely people and they provide an excellent stand of service. Even though I use to be a local, my partner who originally come from NZ has fallen in love with the outback after this experience and I think the glamping experience at Mitchell Grass Retreat definitely contributed to his high opinion of Longreach and outback Australia. Thank you!!

In a 5 star property it is usual for the room to be serviced daily at least. It is unacceptable to not have this service. Katrina changed towels and emptied one of the bins happily when I asked her.She and Brett do a great job..

Greeting and explanation of facilities. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Bathroom lovely. Peace and quiet.

Attention to Australian and local suppliers would have been better than imported cheap interiors, etc. Tents too close together, very noisy one night after 10:30. Disappointed for the cost to have construction noise ruining ambience. Otherwise really lovely people and loved the stay, thanks.

The rate of $450 per night was overpriced . The bed was amazing however the experience of the tent during winter was limited....either have a bath or go to bed. The price of the food options that you offer is overpriced. The location is too far out of town . There is nothing to do and no where to go on the property when it gets dark , (5.30pm)so you are in you are in tent .... very disappointed in the experience

It was very over-priced for what you got and then being asked to pay extra for wood was ridiculous. I would stay there again but definitely not for that price, for half the price definitely.

We felt that the rooms were close together and if the retreat was full it could have been noisy especially with the swimming pool in the centre. Obviously there is no sound insulation in the "tents". I would have enjoyed a more secluded spot. We liked our own fire pit but were disappointed when our neighbours played music around theirs. (This would not bother some people.) Breakfast was enjoyable. We were surprised that it appeared that no attempt was made to remove the finished breakfast items each day. Overall good with some service teething problems.

The concept is good. We have stayed in similar places overseas. The accomodation was very comfortable and clean. We really liked the bed and bathroom products. The communication was very good prior to our arrival. The fire pit was a great touch. Good barbecue.
