This place is not at all what the description says. The only honest word was "homestay". It is a standard suburban house in a newish housing estate. The "garden views" in my case was a timber fence. There is a shared lounge and kitchen (it is a standard house after all) but I did not feel even slightly welcome to use them and the lounge was occupied by someone up on their computer all night. The description says "The air-conditioned units have a fully equipped kitchen with dining area, a fridge, kettle, and an oven" The kitchen is the host's kitchen that I am guessing I would have been able to use if the host's stuff wasn't taking up every surface. There is mention of a tennis court and a pool - what this means is that somewhere on the housing estate there is both. Not on the property. No idea where. Using this logic pretty much anywhere you live or visit has a pool and tennis court. There are not "units" there are bedrooms. several of which will be rented out to other people. There are no locks on the doors so if you own anything you probably won't feel comfortable leaving it in your room. I was not worried about my physical safety but if I was (for example) a young woman on my own I probably would be. There are no locks on the shared toilet or bathroom either - so unless you don't mind strangers walking in on you showering you will probably just not. Not that I had any particular desire to use the shower anyway due to the state of it (not horrendous but pretty much like most share houses). The rooms are air conditioned - but not with separate controls which is what "air conditioned units" implies. There is a house control somewhere and you just deal with that. Apparently there were slippers - I was shown an ancient pair of size 6 crocs and told to put them on. I feel there might have been slippers somewhere but didn't look.

It was safer than sleeping on the street. It kept me dry when it rained. There was running water and power points.

Kitchen space was always cluttered with dishes, leaving no room to cook or prepare meals.

Location was good for what I needed.
