Hard to find fault with anything. Maybe a few cosmetic blemishes. Which I am sure most places have.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and a very good size. Our room was equipped with facilities for disabled or elderly this was handy to know for future reference. Larger fridge was good with a small kitchenette, was handy to keep the cost of the stay down food wise. Complimentary continental breakfast. Easy access to and from property.

We had a patio but it seemed to be locked so we couldn't sit out there.

The pool area looked great but we didn't get a chance to use it on this visit. Maybe next time.

The staff are amazing, beds are comfortable, pool is pretty and they include a breaky to save you going to the shops. All and all it was such a pleasant stay and we have already booked to return!

Nothing we didn’t like, only small suggestion would be bedside tables, however this was easily navigated with the large bench across from the end of the bed for phone charging etc. If I had to be nit picky, updated blankets for the beds but if you’re only looking to keep warm it’s a non issue.

Our ground floor room was recently renovated, fresh, modern and clean, plenty of room. The continental breakfast which was included in the price of the room was great, Monte Carlo provides real milk in addition to long life, a good selection of spreads and yoghurt, varying types of bread, cereal, tea, coffee and sugar. The service was friendly and professional. Value for money can’t be beaten. We have stayed in both run down, ill equipped, and higher end hotels with less amenities all at a higher price tag. Monte Carlo comes out on top in all categories. The higher end places might have nicer soft furnishings but that’s about it. We come to Townsville quite regularly and think Monte Carlo will be our new home away from home.

Parking was a bit tight for a 4x4 (200 series), need more than a sheet on the bed as it was cool, and fans needed a clean

Just the toilet I guess the only thing that was a little difficult was meals times. With 5 of us we couldn't really sit together at a table. We appreciate that there's limited room for that though.

The breakfast was quite nice with the exchange of water bottles due to no stock of poppers. The pool area looked beautiful in the afternoon.

Only a small thing but bedside tables would have prevented spillages/inconvenience. Tap in shower fell off a couple of times. One window wouldn’t close.
