How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There were no sheets on the sofa bed and it was impossible to sleep on So had to sleep on the sofa bed cushions on the floor with no sheets. Very poor and uncomfortable

A very nice self contained 1 bedroom unit with smallish kitchen. Very clean. Arrived in the dark and in the rain, and it was a little challenging to find the apartment as reception unmanned and retrieved key from lockbox. But overall a nice stay, I enjoyed the spa and pool to relax in, at the end of a long working day. Excellent proximity to beach, and there is a small supermarket about 200 metres walk away.

The outside night lights (looks like recently installed) were so bright we hardly slept a wink the 2 nights of our stay. Management need to look at maybe making these sensor or softer warmer light. Everything else was perfect but no sleep ruined our stay
Beautifully renovated self contained apartment with all amenities & a ceiling fan as well as air conditioning. A lot of accomodation don’t have ceiling fans anymore so that was a big plus. King size bed & full length mirror for us ladies

That you had to physically remove rubbish yourself. All rubbish was put in the bin and kept clean but taking bottles and rubbish should be apart of the cleaning service.
Was a really good location - close to the beach, shopping centres, tram stop and convention centre. The motel was really clean and the beds were comfortable. Felt like just at home and not actually in a motel room.

Paper thin walls meant i could hear couples having sex all night. Wifi wouldnt stay connected interrupting my ability to work. Floor to cieling windows with no tints so need to have blinds down all day & night.

They basically expect you to clean for the next guest so bowls/plates etc are a bit grubby (no dishwasher) Bedroom and bathroom are clean though*

It was clean very well presented and easy access to their parking. The unit was very well supplied with everything I needed. I would definitely stay there again. Close to the beach and walking path in the mornings.
Great position. I didn’t want to spend huge money as I was waiting to take keys for my new home. I was made to feel welcome from the moment I arrived.

The service. Dirty dishes in dishwasher. There was a metal straw and when I took it out the amount of scum slime that poured out made me vomit! Dirty around the microwave and the washing machine Wardrobe doors didn't open and close without coming off rails Rusty broken blinds in the bathroom Noisy construction next door Tenant in apartment beside spa was using power tools causing noise and dust while we tried to use spa Dirty old Plasters in bottom of what we thought was a freshly made bed Only 1 towel each no hand towel
