    Excellent atmospheric Adelaide Hills retreat

All pretty good really. Could maybe have used an orange juicer but that's a very minor suggestion. Could perhaps tone down the external lighting a bit to allow better stargazing but again that's a minor consideration.

Very comfortable and atmospheric accommodation in Adelaide Hills. Well located (given you have a car) for touring Adelaide and Adelaide Hills area, pleasant short walk to nearby hotel, and well appointed. Good to be greeted by some of the local kangaroos as well as our friendly host. Wineries, parks, restaurants and interesting small towns within easy driving distance, and quite close to the magnificent Magill Estate restaurant.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in May of last year and loved the place so much that we decided to come back every year. The cottage is beautiful, lovely new bathroom, has a wood fireplace( the host, Steve, cheerfully tops up the wood supply) as well as coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher and there's a gorgeous little barbecue area down the back with a stunning view. It's a quiet, self contained and picturesque place to stay for anyone who wants to get away from the crush and noise.

    All was great.

Location was especially beautiful - our room had windows over the valley looking east & it was beautiful to watch the sky lighten in the mornings while enjoying a coffee in bed 😊. The witness of the area was wonderful- just what we needed on our “get away from it all” weekend. The proximity to excellent walking trails was a bonus that we enjoyed lots too. All round - an excellent experience. Thanks Steve & Fiona 😊

The location was stunning, and the surrounds beautiful and quiet. The work that has gone into this place was evident in the attention to detail in both the building restoration, and the way things have been set up for guests. Loved the combination of heritage buildings with tasteful, modern amenities. Steve was also generous with the firewood, and we had a delightfully cosy and comfortable stay!

I had thought we could cook a meal-only a microwave/convection and no cook top... My mistake, as we had hoped to chill and cook at the accommodation some nights-not practical.

Great setting in the Adelaide Hills-we even saw a Koala in a tree on the property. Great hosts. Wonderful sized room and very clean and organised. Just the best place for a getaway. Recommend this accommodation highly.

The property was absolutely stunning! We loved it and enjoyed sitting out in the morning drinking our coffee and having breakfast with the yummy complimentary food they supplied. They had a great set up, great for bbqs, etc with a beautiful view of the hills and an easy walk along along the trail to the Scenic Hotel 😊

We love the setting and the historic nature of Morialta Barns. Steve the host is just brilliant. He genuinely welcomes you, helps you to understand all features so as to maximise your experience and also shares information about the individual buildings and their unique history. The breakfast provisions are seasonal and fresh and tasty. We love the decor, which along with the honey coloured exposed stone walls makes for a most relaxing and stay.

Beautiful converted barns. Tastefully styled, and fully equipped for a lovely stay. Really great shower, comfortable bed, and gorgeous stone is just beautiful to see. Everything catered for. Well equipped kitchen area with plenty of utensils etc. Bed very comfortable. Fantastic bathroom & laundry.
