Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Australiathe size of the room, found that it was quite small but that's likely due to the room that we booked.
location was nice, being in the cbd was great and meant that getting around was easy. The room was perfect for our needs with a nice comfy bed.

Australia1. Your steamers suck. Full size ironing board and iron was required. Fortunately, you had that at front desk for me. 2 Provide a dirty clothes bag in room please (good marketing op anyway). 3 Robe? 4
Your breafast is not great, not going to lie. Let's face it, fancy things like cured meats arent for everybody. The menu of actual dishes is tiny, I reckon you should invest in something like an automatic pancake machine. Ditch the 'fancy spread', and just do quick efficient eggs bacon and toast. Everybody eats that!

United KingdomOn the edge of China town so vibrant and atmospheric. You do need to travel if you don’t want Asian food.
The rooms are small but so well designed that they have everything you need. The shower room was beautiful

AustraliaI agree with the comments about lift noise but it’s not that bad and when you’re tired it really doesn’t matter. I had a fabulous sleep!
Stunning boutique hotel in the heart of town. Close to central, Chinatown and a 10 min walk from Pitt Street Mall (Shopping). I stayed in a queen bambino room for 1 night in transit home. The hotel is beautiful. Very well designed. My room was a perfect size for 1 person. You can see that everything has been thought of for guests from the detail of design to having the right facilities (clothes steamer, hair dryer, lovely shampoo etc, even lovely slippers!). Louis gave me a warm welcome when I arrived and Jonno made me a lovely drink that was much needed on arrival. Check out was also seamless! Thanks team for a wonderful stay. I’ll definitely be back!

AustraliaOur room was at the rear of the building and had no outlook. The small windows provided very little light so it felt like a windowless room.
The number of rooms in the hotel wasn't too big and the bar at ground level looked groovy

New ZealandThe room is way smaller than the picture we saw online. We have one check-in luggage and one carry-on luggage, and the room was already full. The check-in process is a bit slow. It took us almost 30 minutes to check in.
The room was very clean and quiet. We stayed three nights at the hotel, and the room was cleaned every day by the housekeeper. The location of this hotel is awesome. There are so many nice restaurants outside the hotel, and Chinatown is just a 4-minute walk away. It's close to the train station and everything else.

United KingdomWe did not like that breakfast was included especially that the hotel was very expensive for what we had expected. The room was very small and you had to reverse in the bathroom to use the toilet. The air conditioning was difficult to adjust but very cold.
We liked the location. It enabled us to get around on foot very easily. Sydney is a small city and we managed to see all we wanted to see by walking to the locations. It is placed in the China Town region and was very pleasant.

AustraliaThe service during my meal at night was a bit slow when I asked for a second drink. The one staff member was busy, and frankly disinterested chatting to a lady sitting at the bar.

AustraliaMy room was small and had a small window, so it' was a bit claustrophobic. No desk for working - which is fine as the bar is a good place to setup a laptop to work during the day.
The hotel is very close to the Central station and everything in the CBD can be reached by foot. The bar serves decent cocktails. The hotel is surrounded by good quality Asian restaurants.

AustraliaThe phone in my room didn't have a button to call reception, so I had to find the external hotel phone number to call, which then rang and rang and rang before someone answered. Would like some healthier and less expensive light meal options for business travellers who get in late, want something quick and nutritious to eat, but don't want to spend time and money in the wine bar. Would ideally like a slightly larger table in the room, to be able to use a laptop better - compact is good, but this is a bit too compact!
Very comfortable stay in elegantly appointed hotel. Location is convenient but not lovely, but you forget all that once you walk in the front door. Rooms are compact with minimal natural light, but tastefully and thoughtfully decorated. Staff are helpful and responsive to requests. Breakfast buffet is extensive and delicious. Have stayed before and will stay again.

AustraliaThe walls were quite thin so you could hear the people in other rooms showering or talking if they were very loud.
The hotel was extremely clean and maintained to a high standard. The staff were excellent. At first our room was not ready, however they upgraded us and also gave us a bottle of wine as a gift. Cannot fault the customer service they were all lovely, sociable and helpful. The hotel was very close to the shopping mall and also Central train station which made it convenient for transport.
