How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The room was adequate and there weren't any problems.

Highway noise but you can easily book a room away from the highway..didn't know the length and size of the property!
Loved the continental breakfast!!! Stayed two nights and the daily service ladies could not more helpful and are dedicated staff..

When the rooms behind us as well as either side, when they would turn the water on in their rooms you would hear a loud sound in your room from the water pipes / pump
It was clean and fresh, loved the big space in the bathroom

The room had some strong smells of burnt plastic and needs to air out.
The location is really convenient and surprisingly quiet. It's also a short walk from the Golden Guitar.

Had a bit of light coming overnight through from the outside walkway lights, mostly covered out from the blinds.
Convenient location for us, facilities were good, overall good value for money, and easy check in/check out. Free continental breakfast was also convenient.

Basic breakfast, unappealing, didn’t eat. People leaving early in morning 6am banging car doors and setting car alarms off. Trailers parked along thru fare made getting into carpark very difficult. Basic shampoo /conditioner all in one
Close to aelec. Room adequate when you just need a bed for the night and not there much. Close to longyard. Good water pressure for shower Decent brand of tea/coffee and enough milk.

Needed disabled, disappointed that workmen (we think) were allocated disabled units, and my wife was unable to use the shower in Room 4. We understand one nighters cannot usurp earlier booked rooms.

Only thing that could have been better would be a desk or something similar to put your bag and either more pillows (was only 1 pillow per person) and better quality pillows. Other than that, it was a very clean and comfortable room and would definitely stay again.

It would have been better to have a hand held shower head and the fridge was very cold so the milk and some of my yogurt was frozen.
Breakfast was available and was included in the cost of the room. The room was very clean and tidy and the hot water in the shower was almost instantaneous and there was plenty of it.

Whilst relatively clean, the shower floor has hair/dust balls. The neighbours in the trim next door punching on smashing up the place was fun from 4am when I’d worked night shift. The house keeping staff yelling in conversation from one end to the other when a clear DND sign
