Julie and Joe were wonderful hosts and the accommodation was beautiful. There was so much attention to detail in everything, you can tell they put a lot of love into the lodge. We had an amazing stay and felt very relaxed and well looked after. The lodges are in a great location, very close to cafes, local shops, great pubs and restaurants. Thank you for a great experience! Can't wait to stay again.

We have stayed at Mountain Lodge before and find ourselves returning for the accommodation, location and without a doubt the abundant breakfast provisions and yummy afternoon teas. Julie and Joe are excellent hosts who always make us feel very welcome!

Julie and Joe were great hosts and rightly proud of their 8 years labour of love to develop the property towards its potential. The Dandenong Ranges are special and the feeling of fresh air and wellness is carried on through Mountain Lodge. Fresh local produce was provided so we could cook our breakfast with the finest ingredients. Quality coffee was available in nearby cafes and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. If you had a few extra days, combining the Dandenong ranges with the Yarra Valley would be a wonderful break.

From the apartment there are stunning views looking out on the gums and tree ferns whilst listening to the kookaburras. Julie creates a homely private space with incredible attention to detail. The food provided was excellent and more than anticipated. A lovely spot for a peaceful weekend retreat.

Very well situated for all the villages and gardens etc in the Dandenong area. Delightful hosts who couldn’t do enough to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Very cosy and homely accommodation. Fabulous breakfasts (and lovely cakes for afternoon tea.)

Such a beautiful, tranquil, clean, comfortable and cozy place. The attention to details is just amazing! We love the breakfast provisions, the bath, the fire place, beautifully decorated room and everything else there! Just what we needed for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommended. The photos on the web don't do the justice of the actual suite itself. Definitely exceeded our expectation👍❤

The shower was a little awkward to use, but no big deal

We had such a lovely time. We were warmly greeted by Julie when we arrived, who took us through everything we needed to know. We then went on to enjoy the excellent breakfast and afternoon tea provisions, the very warm heater, and the beautiful surrounds.

Loved how friendly and attentive Julie was when we arrived - she showed us how to enter the lodge and quickly showed us around. Each morning we woke up to a very generous hamper at the door to make breakfast. The place was clean, cosy, warm, with lots of amenities like gowns, slippers, snacks, fresh towels and toiletries. The scenery was also amazing, we felt so secluded yet not too far from everything around us. Definitely a good little couples getaway - I would love to visit again sometime.

Every detail was amazing. The breakfast and other provisions were well thought and suited our preference. The cottage itself was warm, cosy and beautifully appointed. I didn't want to leave!

It can be slightly tricky to shower without splashing water around the bath area. we had to wipe off excess water afterwards to prevent it from flowing to the floor.

Julie went above and beyond and really impressed us with her attention to detail and hospitality. Upon arrival we were greeted personally by Julie and were given a room tour. We stayed in the Tasman room and the room is presented impeccably clean and the decorations were charming, online photos don't do this place justice. The room is filled with amenities and conveniences such as bath robes and room slippers. gas fire heating, tea & coffee, LED candle lights to set the mood for the spa bath, bluetooth speaker so you can play your favourite tunes from your phone, TV with Netflix and Stan streaming available, electric blankets, wireless charging pad on the bedside table...etc etc. Breakfast provisions were very generous as well, with delicious freshly baked bread by Julie on the first morning and pancake mixes for the second day along with bacon, eggs, hash brown, mushrooms, fruits, yogurt, juices etc. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and couldn't give higher praises to both Julie and Joe for creating such high standards that dare I say even rivals some 5 star hotels. Thank you once again for making our stay wonderful!
