Amazing location with stunning views within a natural environment setting. The floor to ceiling windows treated us to viewing awesome sunrise and sunsets. Very comfortable accommodation with everything we needed. We loved the wildlife and the tranquillity. Our hosts were very attentive and helpful.

Location, the hosts, the pool! was amazing, the bathroom is stunning, the view was breathtaking, the room all around was just breath taking. The bed was so comfy and the whole place was sparkling clean. The hosts were amazing and friendly I loved how they made us feel relaxed and at home we felt like we had alot of privacy!

The only difficult part of the stay is needing to leave for meals. Although this is only a 10 minute drive to Berry, which has everything you need.

My Hay Retreat is a serene property on top of a mountain with a gorgeous view of Berry below. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the peace and quiet on our balcony, swimming in the incredible pool, playing giant chess and swinging on a hill that feels like you’re flying out over the valley. I highly recommend this place for a peaceful stay. We also booked in massages which took place in our room and was the best massage I ever had!

We stayed at Mt Hay Retreat for 2 nights to celebrate my partner’s birthday/anniversary. Anthony was very welcoming from the moment we arrived. Property was immaculate - Complete facilities with fast wi-fi. Highlight was definitely the view. Worth every buck! We’ll be back again.

Mt Hay was an amazing property. Beautiful and wonderful at the same time. So peaceful and tranquil situated high up on the hill with extensive views over the Berry towards the coast. Pool was awesome and Louise and Anthony fantastic hosts. A must place to stay.. Kindest regards Selby and Jackie

We really enjoyed our stay. Such an amazing outlook, a short drive from Berry and the spa/pool complex was great (especially as Mt Hay only has a small number of suites so minimal other guests and all were adults)

Absolutely nothing

The most beautiful place to stay in on the hillside. Perfect self contained unit, breathtaking view, cloud soft bed. Booked for my partners birthday and couldn’t have picked a better spot. Just a stones throw from berry. Perfect indoor pool, and grounds to walk round. Total 10/10.

A fantastic retreat and an ideal location for couples to enjoy a little peaceful and relaxing time together. Our room was both very spacious and luxurious, including a huge bathroom with underfloor heating, very comfortable king size beds, 2 great places to relax and chat (1 inside and the other an outdoor verandah). Spectacular views from all areas through huge glass doors and windows that cover all of the east facing wall . Outside the gardens are well established and maintained attracting a wide range of birds and animals. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful which was much appreciated

It needs more ‘equipment’ such as cheese boards. Bread knife and perhaps a breakfast basket. Also things like a wine cooler.

Was not anyone’s fault and it was mentioned beforehand but due to the recent heavy rain, quite a few potholes on the drive up on the private road. However, my understanding is it’s a very temporary situation.

Stunning views, heated and sizeable pool, privacy and host was very attentive. Berry Village very close by with lots of charming cafes, restaurants, shops and nature sightseeing, if one was inclined to do so.

Not a single thing!

Luckily we travelled in a 4WD as the road up to the retreat is quite steep and ruff in places. It's both bitumen and gravel. However all that is forgotten once you reach the top. It truely was like the rest of the world didn't exist. Calm just settled over you. We own a small property out of town so it's not even the fact we were out of town, we are use to that. I can't describe it as anything else other than calm. The view was intoxicating. Due to the privacy out there we could leave the blinds open and the massive windows were like our own private view of the landscape. From the sun rising to the storms rolling in, the rain on the tin roof to the songs of frogs at night, it just took you to another place. The last night of our stay, after a nice hot shower, we wrapped ourselves in the robes supplied and lay out on the lounges on our verandah watching the lightening put on a mesmerising show across the sky. The calm of Mt Hay Retreat has already got me thinking about our next stay. And the pool & spa.... sigh!
