Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe location is a little bit far from the main beach, but they have a free shuttle, and easy to catch the public bus. So it wasn't a big problem:)
I was staying in a private room, but it was absolutely amazing! I wanted to extend if I have more time.

NetherlandsThere was a dirty towel left in our room. Note that the swimming pool is very small. So if you want to swim you should go to the beach. But since the beaches are amazing in Noosa I would recommend you to go to the beach anyway.
The rooms we stayed in were nice and clean. We were able to leave our car in the parking area when going on a trip to K'gari which was very nice. The hostel also offers a lot of extra facilities, such as a transport to the center of Noosa and activities every evening. We did not make use of this, but I think it is a very nice hostel when you are traveling alone.

DenmarkI do not like rainfall shower heads: being fixated it makes it harder to wash your lower body and their size reduce the water pressure so it takes longer to wash out shampoo from your hair - this becomes especially annoying when there is a sticker on the wall of the bathroom asking you to limit your shower to 5 minutes.
Nice room and cummunal kitchen. I liked that there was a small shelf and power outlet by the bed. Good, sturdy bunk beds and I really liked the curtains to provide you with some privacy and ensure you wouldn't be disturbed if someone turned on the light. I asked if I could get a bottom bunk, which they reserved for me for which I am very greatful. While it was mostly a youth hostel they thankfully turned down/off the music no later than 10.30 pm. + for Spider, the dog, whose purpose in life is to play fetch + for towel, hair dryer and hair straightener + for free breakfrast and the mostly free evening activities + for pick-up service

BrazilThey provide breakfast but it’s not a really breakfast. Only some breads milk or coffee that you can take and it.
They are located in Sunshine Beach but very close to Noosa Junction and Noosa Heads. You can get bus with your GoCard or free shuttle buses to bus station or just walk for a few minutes. The place was so clean and beautiful with comfortable beds and nice furniture. The shared bathroom was just besides the private room.

BoliviaThere was an outdoor area for smokers which was a bit dirty. I'm not a smoker though but I wanted to sit somewhere calmer, just constructive feedback. In general, I loved my stay there :)
The communication was great!. You could check what was on every night/day and the activities that are available not only within the hostel but in different venues or places in Noosa. Also, the courtesy bus makes a huge difference. The cleanliness in the kitchen and toilets was impressive.

United KingdomNothing to not like.
I loved the shuttle bus service the hostel offered. Meaning when you got off the greyhound bus, a friendly staff member was there waiting for you to take you to the hostel. Also they took you back to the greyhound bus stop and they offered service driving to the junction (shopping area) and the beach. The hostel offer a free breakfast. A lovely relaxed feel and nice vibe throughout. It felt like a home from home experience. The staff were all happy to help and did their job with a smile.

IrelandThe only thing which I believe is no fault of the hostel, was that there tended to be flies in the kitchen, although the kitchen was always impeccably clean!
Really clean room, comfy beds and good shower. Loved the social events they hosted, made meeting new people easy. It was our favourite hostel in our east coast journey! They were so helpful in picking us up and dropping us to greyhound bus.
