How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

No door on bedroom so when my hubbie watched tv in the lounge i could see and hear it. Smaller than what we thought it was going to be No Netflix. DVDs.
Location is nice. Spa bath was large. Comfortable bed.

The property is a little tired and is up for sale. Extra bin liners and a draining board for dishes would have been good as well as face washers.I couldn't get heat working on air con. Armchair lumpy.
The property is well located and overall comfortable. Outdoor area was private

The heating didn't work very well - it was very cold. The pictures of the spa looked like it looked out over a garden and there was no view from the spa at all. It was quite expensive for what it was. I've paid less for more luxurious places similar.
Great location and easy to organise. The bed was comfortable and the layout of the cottage was great. We enjoyed our stay. The inclusion of a large variety of DVDs and board games was a great inclusion in the cottage.

The split system AC/heater may need a service. When staying two nights I think 4 English breakfast tea bags would be better than 2. The Fri night, although not Spa Villas fault, doof doof playing most of the night into the early hours from either a house party close by or the Palais club perhaps.
Location was fantastic! Walking distance to everything we needed included the bathhouse and massage spa. The host was fantastic and was very generous with information / suggestions and trying to book us massage. Overall we had a wonderful stay and very much enjoyed our weekend. Thank you.

Couch needs replacing And nowhere to do makeupin bathroom

The toilet seat is cramped and not enough leg room; the toilet/shower room would have been great to have it's own heater and bath robes would have been a nice touch.
The villa provided a basic dry continental breakfast which is very much appreciated...

Hubby and I stayed here on the weekend for my birthday, and we had a great stay. The heater was on for us when we walked in which was brilliant, the spa was fantastic, there was even a box of goodies on the kitchen bench. Would recommend to others, and we would definitely stay again.

The water pressure in the shower wasn't the best, but still was able to enjoy a nice shower after a long walk around the river. Other than that the stay was lovely.
The spa and the welcome pack. Its always good to be gifted nibbles and treats that are local to where we are staying. The coffee was magnificent the chocolate nuts where a good treat after a few wines in the spa.

The TV’s really needs to be updated so old both the one in the bedroom and the lounge.. also was advertised that there is a fireplace but disappointed when it wasn’t working owner had to call someone out to connect it.

it’s run down and lacks some of the basics. For instance, there were no tissues anywhere (a small thing, but it’s marketed as a ‘Spa Villa’) Handle fell off bath tap, table lamp flickered on/off as it had a faulty switch, fridge doesn’t seal so it’s always running (right next to the bedroom), no bottle opener / corkscrew / can opener. No sharp knives (3 blunt ones). Yard overgrown. Rusty outside table / chair on verandah. Door lock very stiff (wife couldn’t lock/unlock so I had to do it every time)
