How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Very small bathroom. Pillows very hard - perhaps supply a soft and hard pillows.
Location was excellent being just on the edge of the main town centre. Breakfast adequate for us. Very clean but would like the bins emptied more often.

The breakfast area we felt was chilly & there was no possibility of heating so could have been more comfortable. Also there were some marks on the sheet& duvet cover in room 4 . There were ants in the fridge area in The King room which we had to get rid of.
The property was suitable for our needs & was well situated near the Busselton Jetty. The included breakfast was what we needed as well.

The decking on the approach to the entrance was breaking up and a dangerous hazard at the end near the driveway. The fan in the bathroom had not been cleaned in a long time and created a bad impression for something so easy to fix. We would liked to have met the owners and chat at brekky time as in every other B & B we have stayed at.
Cleanliness.... size of room No 5..... location.... brekky supplied..... everything worked. The size of the room and the king size mattress was a bonus. The brekky was adequate to start you off for the day. The shampoo etc and shower caps were great.

Bathroom floor was a little slippery given it was a disability room. Small touches like tissues would have been nice. There was no outlook, but you cant have everything; access to the carpark was more important. Not a room I would like to stay in for more than a night.
Perfect for an overnight stay. Location was excellent as we were wanting to be close to the jetty. Room was clean and well set out for a disability access room. Close to carpark was handy when accompanying a person with disability

Dining room was a bit cramped, but really nitpicking with that comment!
An adults only property, excellent! Very quiet, well appointed, close to Busselton Jetty and not too long to walk to town centre. Private parking onsite is good. Breakfast was very sufficient.

The lack of soap in the room, and the coffee machine in the breakfast room, didn't seem to be working properly, either for me or the other guest using the machine after me. (i.e. it wasn't just me, misunderstanding the instructions.)

Breakfast was very simple - bread, butter, jam, cereal, fruit (uncut), You have to clear your own utensils into the dishwashing machine. Could have more variety. Room was rather small. Very little space to move about with the opened luggages. Walls are thin and you can literally hear the other guests talking in their rooms.
Location was in a quiet zone. Convenient walk to the famous Busselton Jetty. Easy driving around the town area. Will take you about 15 to 30 minutes to explore the town.
