Peaceful, historic location in beautiful garden and surroundings some way off the road. Internally, tastefully furnished and decorated, very spacious, and superbly equipped. The hosts were friendly and welcoming as well as generous with provisions for breakfast and letting us use the laundry facilities. It was a nice touch to provide flowers freshly picked from the garden. There was lots of information on the local area too - Trowunna wildlife sanctuary, close by, is well worth a visit. One of the best properties we have ever stayed at.

A lovely historic and very comfortable place to stay. The room was beautifully decorated and had every comfort. The breakfast provisions were great and the hosts were very welcoming. The gardens were an absolute pleasure to walk around in.

It was in a unique, gorgeous old building, beautifully decorated, very comfortable & with a wood burning fire which was a nice feature. Extensive gardens to explore, lovely rural setting just outside of town but close to walks, cafes& an interesting old pub with lots of local history.

Can’t think of anything but we would love to come back in the spring when the obviously manicured gardens are in bloom.

What’s not to like! If you want peace & tranquility in a heritage piece of history in a stunning country setting this is the place for you. So relaxing, Deb thought of everything you could possibly need to self cater if you choose. The cottage was beautifully decorated to create a cozy home away from home. She even had the fire burning when we got there, & on a cold day it was lovely. The bed was lovely & warm too with electric blanket. Deb even baked fresh bread for our arrival. Great value for money too!

There was absolutely nothing we didn't like.

We loved our stay at Old WesleyDale and feel very privileged to have spent three nights somewhere so special. The property is spectacular and steeped in history. The gardens are truly a wonder and can imagine at another time of the year the colour would be striking. The cottage was a treat. Very spacious, well equipped and very comfortable indeed and the decor was just splendid. We enjoyed meeting the owners, Scott and Deb and already have plans to return. Such a memorable stay!

We loved the location near Mole Creek, where there is a nice restaurant and tavern with a creek that has a bit of history. Nice place to look for platipus and meet people. We liked the location near enough to Cradle Mountain, Sheffield, and Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary. We loved the Gardens. We loved the dvd selection and artwork in the room.

This is a very special place to stay. The setting is like an extensive park and the gardens around the house were magnificent. The cottage itself was beautiful, tastefully furnished, with lovely homely touches eg fresh flowers.

The gardens and old buildings at this property are amazing. You are free to stroll around the beautiful flowers and spend the afternoons exploring the grounds. Little rabbits greet you on the entrance too. Absolutely stunning place.

It was a very quiet location. The two owners have a lovely, and I mean a lovely garden (see pictures). They also have a friendly, quiescent dog, that doesn't mind strangers. There is a sitting area outside so that one can enjoy the garden and take in the sounds of the birds. The room was clean and large with a mini sofa and armchair. There is a cooker in the kitchen and one can use the washing machine.

Beautiful place with wonderful history and it was clean and very well maintained. It had an amazing garden and great host. The location was perfect for our touring around the area.
