How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Everything was perfect there was not one thing that we disliked about this property .
This property is located in one of the best spots in Gold Coast . The attention to detail on every comfort and facility needed was at the property. It felt like home away from home . The host Cathryn was amazing. Looking forward to booking again in the future.

High level floor with great views and balcony. Access to bars & restaurants with only a short stroll. Beach a short walk away and shopping very close at Pacific Fair. The Casino is also nearby (walking distance) if that's your thing.

Sone extra toilet paper rolls would have been good - we got to the end of the rolls supplied! The coffee pods supplied don't fit the machine - not a big deal as we bought ones that did. Saw a few big cockroaches, but we know they're everywhere in QLD. Woke up to one floating in a glass of water in the kitchen one morning, and another scuttled across the floor near the laundry at night. Again didn't worry us as we're from Brisbane and we know they're about.
Great location. Nice touch that the owner has included beach toys (unfortunately we didn't spot those until the end)! Clean and comfortable. Great communication re key collection.

Lounge was a little uncomfortable and is due for an update.
Comfortable apartment in the Oracle building. Great outdoor heated pool area with hot tub. Views of the beach from the balcony. Excellent location, close to lots of cafes and restaurants.

Great Location and everything was what was in the explanation of the property including views etc. The host is very easy to deal with and very accomidating. Would definently recommend this property to any of my friends.

Location and view in Broadbeach were amazing. It was exceptionally comfortable for a family of 5 and the bonus beach supplies were well used and added extra fun.

The location was excellent, the apartment clean & comfortable. We enjoyed our stay tremendously. Our host is lovely and filled me in on every thing I needed to know. The apartment suited all our needs for the Broadbeach Blues festival! We are hoping to stay there again for next year's Blues.

The only problem we had was with the coffee pod-machine that didn't work. But with that said there were two great coffee shops right below us (No Name Lane and Honu Bar)
From the first contact and correspondence with the Owner, to the key collection and check-out everything was seamless. The room was clean & comfortable and had great views. It was exactly as per the photos and the facilities description(s). The room was bright and airy and we had everything we needed in the well-equipped kitchen for dining in. The location was also great for spending time in the local restaurants (can recommend the Mall and #Lamb Shop). Will definitely return.

we had family emergency and whilst I let the owner know I didn’t get any of the $890 back nor was i offered another night or two at another time. when I asked they didn’t have any compassion to even answer!!! disgusting

The unit wasn’t very clean. The windows were not clean. There was some blood on the main bedroom door. The cover surrounding the microwave kept falling down and you had to hold it up to access the start button. You could feel the springs when lying on the main bedroom queen bed. The shelf milk in the cupboard was out of date.
The view was beautiful!! The kitchen was well stocked with plates glasses etc
