Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt was a long way from town but this was not an issue for us.
The location was lovely. Super views and a wonderful rural setting complete with sheep, ponies and the friendly dog Frankie. A dip in the pool after a hot day's drive was very welcome. We particularly enjoyed sitting outside in the evening looking at the magical twinkling lights in the garden.

AustraliaWhen it was time to leave.
First & foremost, the warm welcome given to us by the hosts, Graham & Helen & their Kelpy, Frankie. It was like home coming. Then the pleasant surprise…a bottle of Port & 2 glasses in each room for us. Breakfast was awesome! There was so much choice! Whether it be the type of bread or spreads or type of teas! Coffee & the fresh eggs were prepared as per our request! The bacon & eggs were cooked perfectly by Graham each time! The dining table was set up so beautifully every morning. That pinch of love made it all so special!! The other pleasant surprise was the ‘The Sundowner’!! There were different types of cheeses, wines & nuts. We got to meet the other couple that were staying there. It was all so good!! I can’t praise Helen & Graham enough for their hospitality! They saw to every need of ours! Before we could ask, the moment they heard we were doing a bbq, they gave us plates, cutlery, utensils etc. They wouldn’t even let us do the washing up saying they would load it in their dishwasher! Our pet Labrador puppy made friends with their dog & had an equally, if not a better, holiday than us!

AustraliaEverything! The hosts Graham and Helen are friendly, the views are beautiful, and Graham cooked up a delicious breakfast. Great location just out of town. We fed the horses some carrots which our 2 year old enjoyed as well. The pool was refreshing in the hot weather. I highly recommend staying here. We will definitely stay again.

United KingdomNoting it was perfect for us. Just our kind of stay
I have no idea why this B&B do not have a 10 rating. We loved it. From the warm welcome Helen and Graham (and Frankie) gave us to the room, the wonderful views, the sunset and the animals. The rooms was beautifully decorated and as I always say the little touches mean a lot. The outside area with sofas and kitchen area was really comfortable. The stained glass ornaments made by Graham were stunning. We watched the sunset then waited to to the night sky without any light pollution. Breakfast was wonderfully cooked and the bacon taste was exceptional. I wished this accommodation was in the UK as I would definately come back for longer. As I said before this should have a 10 start rating. Wished I could return one day.

AustraliaGraham and Helen were unavailable to meet me at my arrival but they provided good instructions for accessing the property. The included breakfast was excellent - a great selection of items and the cooked scrambled egg with cherry tomatoes was perfect. I used the pool on both days - it was clean and a welcome cool down after being out walking.

AustraliaBeautiful place to stay and get out of town, the property itself is excellent with a lot of room and different amenities. The rooms we stayed in were well set out and came with a complimentary bottle of port! If that's not top notch service then I got no clue what is. The hosts Graham and Helen were very welcoming and friendly, while making sure to respect our privacy, Graham even went out of his way to give us a lift into town. Would 100% stay here again. Thanks alot Graham and Helen!

AustraliaSet in a 10 acre working farm, each room has a small verandah area which looks out over garden, paddocks and bush. Guests are free to wander the grounds. Rooms are very comfortable and tastefully appointed, with a small fridge, tea and coffee and even complimentary port. Breakfast at 7.30am was generous, including cereal, toast, fruit salad and cooked English. Hosts friendly and unobtrusive.

SingaporeIt’s an exceptional place run by the most friendly couple. Graham and Helen are both such excellent hosts that in just two nights we were like old friends. The breakfast was sumptuous, Graham is a great cook. He was so kind to take me to the Toodyay town center for a bit of shopping and sightseeing. I cannot say enough of the property. The room and the grounds are very well kept. I got exactly what I was looking for , a quiet and restful place. I hope to be able to return with my family soon. Thanks to Graham and Helen for a lovely break from hectic Singapore

AustraliaNot much. There was a bit of distant train noise - from both sides of the room as Pecan Hill is in the middle of a large bemd in the railway line.
Pleasant, welcoming B&B in the countryside outside Toodyay. The room was good sized with good facilities and a rual outlook (sheep and lots of birds). The hosts were very friendly and provided me with a self-serve breakfast as I had to leave very early.
