Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe gardens were very dry - it was summer and some dryness is to be expected but there does not appear to be reticulation. I was a little dissapointed as the pictures of the gardens were what attracted me to this property. Some of the plants were dead. There was a dead rat in the oven which can't be helped and was cleaned up quickly. The bath in the back yard had slime and algea growing in it so we were not able to use it.
There is a fantastic little family of kangaroos who live in the yard. Quite a lot of bird life including some beautiful finches. Back porch is perfect for quiet contemplation and relaxation. The inside bath is great, the architecture is interesting and the house is well appointed with everything you need for a stay. The house is located a short drive to the main town of Pemberton so it is convenient.

AustraliaHave to go downstairs for the toilet at night. If one person watches TV everyone hears due to the open plan structure. Can hit your head on the stairs if not careful. No wood for the fireplace, and it was freezing.
Beautiful glass windows with views upstairs and downstairs. Anything you need to be comfortable. Spacious. Lovely oven and kitchen facilities. Best beds and bedding ever! Beautiful citrus trees.

AustraliaIt was a bit cold in the room downstairs. It would have been great to have wemore wood for the fireplace on arrival.
Beautiful surrounds in the forest, very peaceful and serene. The house itself is beautiful with enormous bath, gorgeous decor and lots of natural light. The facilities in terms of cookware and amenities were fantastic.

AustraliaI cant sleep at ground floor bedroom. I can hear noises in the ceiling. Upon investigation, saw a hole in veranda ceiling that leads to bedroom.
I love the tranquility of the place and location. Love the gardens and trees surrounding the property. Birds abound. All the bedsheets and towels are super clean. All facilities are working in order. I feel safe except for the big kangaroo looking in from the veranda 😅😅

United KingdomThe property was quite tired and shabby. The decor was scruffy, the furniture worn. Some of the blinds were broken. The cookware was old and the shower space had a crack in the floor and grubby sealant. There was no complimentary milk, the shower gel was empty. There was no internet access available or guidance. There was no hot water and the gas hob didn't work. This was due to a faulty gas supply / connection. The first night of our 2 day stay was not fit for purpose. I have no apology or response to emails sent to special stays.

AustraliaWe did not receive the SMS with the code for the key lock on the morning of our arrival so had to phone for it when we got there. Shower plughole blocked so water floods the entire area making it impossible to put a bath mat down but, most importantly, extremely slippery and therefore dangerous. Lighting throughout the house wasn't adequate except in the lounge where it would have been useful to have the dimmer switch working or perhaps dimable bulbs in the overhead fitting.Light bulb in laundry not working. Only one small extension cord found in the laundry cupboard which we used to pull the TV away from the wall so the person on the couch nearest the back windows could view the whole screen. The second adult in the downstairs bedroom,on the side closest to the wall, could not use the electric blanket because the cord didn't reach the power point, fortunately the lamp on the piano's cord, did,so that person could have a reading lamp but had to stand it on a stool from the kitchen. Window treatments throughout the house were either non existent or not adequate.Lots of cooking pots and casserole dishes but not enough plates. Would have been useful to have the user manuals for all the appliances. No wood on arrival so we had to buy some from IGA. My husband did find a wood shed on the property with an axe which he used to chop kindling but unfortunately the wheelbarrow's tyre was flat and busted so it made transporting the wood to the house difficult. My husband is 72 with a crook back. Misleading advertising as it certainly is doesn't offer privacy for 6 x adult couples, with 2 x queen beds and a day bed in each room and the upstairs bedroom with no enclosed walls and a door.
The gardens and surrounding landscapes were stunning. The fridge and freezer were of a good size but because the space they are set in is too small, the fridge door jammed on the freezer door each time we used it unless we remembered to close it very firmly. Large lounge, kitchen and dining area and both a washing machine and drier in the laundry.
