Absolutely loved the super friendly staff and the superb restaurant. The food was amazing and breakfast nice too. Super convenient option to purchase lift tickets from reception. Also convenient and capable ski hire on site.

The only thing you can complain about imo is the price but that's Buller. For the ease, ski convenience, staff friendliness, breakfast quality, it's actually not that bad.

Location is fabulous for ski in/out and a short walk to the Buller square. There are a number of excellent conveniences that make life on the slopes a great deal easier - lockable ski room at the entrance so keep your skis, lockable drying room downstairs to leave jackets/boots, ski hire shop in the hotel, luggage room to leave bags if you ski after check out. Breakfast was fantastic and all the staff - front desk, restaurant, bar, ski hire shop - were all extremely helpful.

The staff is lovely , breakfast and dinner was fantastic , the only thing hotel need to upgrade is the hot water system , took a lease 10 mins to get the hot water and the water is not hot enough for the cold winter shower

Before you stay here, book a taxi or rideshare via the Mt Buller app. It looks close to the main square on the map, but it's not. It's up a steep hill with several flights of stairs and we were not aware of this. We were told that the rideshare service or walking were the only two feasible options to get to the hotel. Anybody who has been to the snow knows that carrying/wheeling suitcases through snow is... difficult at best, so you can completely disregard the second recommendation by hotel staff. Would have been good to get some clearer recommendations and instructions PRIOR to arriving at the square, but we're partly to blame for that too. Secondly, the bread that they offer at dinner is not complementary - the way this was presented made it seem like it was free. Note that despite its cost, it was absolutely delicious and if you are interested in bread, it was divine (just $14). These were our only two criticisms. The accommodation is beautiful, the staff were otherwise exceptionally friendly. Anton Grimus served us coffee and he and his dog are both wonderful. We would definitely stay here again and recommend others also stay here.

Very central to the slopes. Beautiful and cozy. The guest lounge was very welcoming (books, couches, boardgames). The bar had a great selection of cocktails and beers. Staff very welcoming. Clean, cozy rooms.

Breakfast was not included for us because we stayed in an apartment however when I enquired prior to arriving I was told it was. This meant we arrived without food and had to pay for Breakfast, which was very expensive at $45 an adult and $35 per child.

Our family stayed in the Vail Apartment which was extremely clean, comfortable and well appointed. A nice big balcony overlooking Bourke St. The Hotel has a wonderful, warm feel about it, much like a European ski lodge.

Wifi didn’t work and no 4g reception in the room. Staff at reception weren’t very friendly and no assistance with luggage. Plug in the spa bath kept coming off didn’t fit correctly. A lot of stairs and it was quite busy in the front area and drying room where you put your boots on as there is no drying room in your apartment.

Nice and warm cozy apartment, nicely decorated. Great location with kids near the ski school and lifts. Spa bath in our apartment and good kitchen facilities with a great fridge and freezer.
