Rooms a little dated and rough around the edges (e.g. old school ensuite, floorboards quite scuffed up, cobwebs around the windows). Housekeeping did not come by unless asked. A screen on the window would have been nice. There was a fair bit of noise from the club on Friday night but we managed to get to sleep ok.

Great location - right on the foreshore and handy to shops and services. Beds were comfortable and air-conditioning was effective. Breakfast was provided but was a little perfunctory.

On weekends bar downstairs turns into a proper club and a warning would have been nice. Very difficult to sleep even with ear plugs. Also the communication before was good but on site not so much. No reception available on Saturday morning for check out at 10 am which was not communicated.

Proximity to conference venue and that they provided glutenfree bread and lactosefree milk for my breakfast. And they were quite flexible with the room changes!

Being told at check-in that we would be responsible for a $450 fee if the smoke detector went off due to steam from the shower, and that we had to ensure we closed the bathroom door. We don't think this design fault should be a guest's responsibility. We were also told, on check-in, that there was a disco taking place on the same level we were staying on.

I believed we were getting a room with a sea view, instead we had a view of a roof. We were advised no sea view rooms available. We only saw two people most of the time we were there so I don't believe that to be true. Very disappointed. The meals at the pub quiet expensive so we ate at the pub up the road.

We did not stay here by choice. I accidentally booked the wrong hotel! Had to sign a waiver in case the steam set off smoke alarm and would face $450 charge! No lift access which made difficulty for bags to get up the stairs for older people. Thankfully the nightclub onsite was not operating on a Monday evening. No hand basin in the bathrooms so had to use normal sink. I was reluctant to stay but since it was only 1 night and not refundable we did. It was adequate.

Free breakfast and Netflix available to sign into without having to use data. Room was clean and had a nice view.

A power point in the bathroom would have been handy. But not that big a deal. Auto hand soap dispenser wasn't working in bathroom. We used the soap dispenser from the shower instead. One of the staff members made me feel like a criminal. Upon arrival I paid the full amount of our stay via paywave on their EFTPOS machine. It all went through successfully. My bank account showed the money debited. The next day I received a phone call to say my payment had declined. Upon checking my account, the full amount had been credited back to me. The staff member insisted I pay with a different card and had attitude when I said I would be paying with the same one (I only have one!). I gave her my details over the phone, expecting it to be processed then and there. She said (with attitude) that she would call me back if it 'declines again'. I don't understand why the money was credited back to me and then for me to be told my payment was declined and then given attitude about it. It certainly wasn't a fault on my part! It did taint my experience with the accommodation, and I'm not sure if I'll stay again due to that.

Room was very clean and tidy. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom adequate. Breakfast supplies were good. Nice variety of cereal and spreads. Although being a pub with loud music, we barely heard anything. Easy access via a separate accommodation door. Cleaning/room staff are very nice. Great location.

On booking we messaged establishment re air-conditioned in the room for price & rang to confirm & was told yes. Upon arrival booking was not what we wanted & had to pay upgrade (extra $70) Booking.com needs to get the booking system working better with accomodation places

The location was excellent. Right on the beach front. There are plenty of places to eat. Supermarkets 5 min walk. The room was clean. The shower looked dated but e ded up being excellant. Breakfast was either downstairs or there is a kitchen with coffee, juice, toast and cereals
