Katherine as a whole is unsafe so security is always on our mind , property ok but town not , stay out of town if you can

Our electric jug was not working and we felt it was not reasonable to disturb staff after 9pm. Would appreciate the option of a second pillow in the cupboard.

Breakfast was reasonable. Outside chairs need to be upgraded, they were very dirty. Bed lights were useless, seems as though they had not been checked by staff. Middle bedside light had seen better days.

The wifi was non-existent in the two rooms we booked (on checking in we warned it could be a bit hit and miss), but that didn't really help us. We received a LOT of emails prior to checking in ... but not once did anyone let us know we should book tours of the local area early. A warning would be nice. Parking is tight - both the size and number of spots. Reception is supposed to open until 7pm, but on our first night we went to ask a question at 6.20pm and it was closed.

Walking into the motel room was like stepping back into my childhood in the '80s - it was a very basic room, but had everything we needed. It was clean, the aircon was lovely and cool, and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. The pool area included an outdoor kitchen, which meant we could make toast for breakfast, pop popccorn in the microwave, or cook our own dinners, which we really apreciated. There was also a social night with pizza and margaritas, which we didn't take advantage of, but looked lovely. Pine Tree is in an excellent location, an easy walk into town or the local supermarket. The inluded breakfast was great - lots of choice and very tasty

Wifi tended to drop out, presumably due to number of guests staying at the property. A bit noisy in the morning when tradies depart.

Friendly, helpful receptionist. Motel is in a secure location - short walk to restaurants, supermarket and visitor information centre. Room was comfortable, well equipped and of a good size. Free buffet breakfast was enjoyable.

Allowed for 4 adults (parents and 2 adult children) to share one room. 2 single beds and a double. Brekkie included. There was a pool which is what you need after a hot day out.

We’ve never had an issue and despite the bathrooms really needing a bit of modernisation it does the job .

We always pick pine tree as it’s normally the cheapest in Katherine for a family room. The bed arrangements are great and it’s comfy. It’s well located as well with secure parking.

It is an older-looking Motel, but you can't always judge a book by its cover.

The room was clean and had enough space for the four family members. The Pool and BBQ area with a Bar was great to mix with other guests. Breakfast was also a hit with the family. Thanks to the owner and the staff for a great short stay.
