How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Pool area was lovely but unfortunately some inconsiderate guests ruined the one occasion we spent in the pool by taking over the whole facility, and throwing multiple balls backwards and forwards from one length of the pool to the other. We were crammed in a tiny corner trying not to get hit by a ball or slashed by their bomb dives (both adults and children.
location was great as well as the private rooftop facilities.

the size of the main bedroom with enormous wardrobe meant the other two bedrooms were very small . the fan in the bathroom didnt turn off so the bedroom next to it was very noisy. for an apartment catering to six - having a table and 4 chairs on the deck is not acceptable. this is the worst stocked unit i have been in - cutlery was cheap and not enough for the size of group . not even providing salt and pepper - apart from the “starter pack sachets” once again is just miserable- pot ware bowls etc very poor. this unit may be ok for a couple with children but not for 6 adults

The room could have been a bit cleaner and the pots and pans had the Teflon peeling off so they need replacing.
The apartment was spacious with a beautiful view. Fantastic location within walking distance of everything. It is peaceful and no crowds.

some of the facilities in the room were terrible. the ironing board was uneven when extended and seemed old and flimsy. the iron had burnt marks on it so very hard to use. the broom was gross and the dust pan and brush was way below acceptable for such a place. given we stayed 4 nights I would expect enough toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, dishwasher powder and garbage bags to last. we were a family of 6 and given we pay per night we should be provided enough from what we paid each night as other guests would if they were only there 1 night.
The location was great, the locals were very friendly. the apartment was very spacious and comfortable. the Spa bath was great too and roof top terrace.

The bed in the main bedroom. Hubby and I hardly slept as the mattress was just plain awful. Lumps, dips etc. We had to take turns sleeping in the middle of the bed as the sides were like sleeping on a roller coaster

Had an awesome weekend away with friends. Great location. Walking distance to everything. Facilities were clean and comfortable. Only down side were the kids hijacking the pool and spa, but other than that it was awesome

The apartment next to ours had people smoking on the balcony, and as we don’t smoke the smell was bad at times it meant we couldn’t sit out to enjoy the view.
The location was perfect, next to the pubs, restaurants, spar and beach. Everything you could want within walking distance of the hotel.

i called twice before I booked because I wanted clarification about whether it had over an views. nobody returned my call or responded to my message so I went ahead and booked. the photos on Booking.com indicated ocean views. it definitely was not ocean views and for that price, that’s what I was paying for.
it was clean and spacious.

Can't think of anything!
Room was clean, modern and had a great view! It was perfect for our group and had enough space for us all. Loved being able to walk out into the main street and onto the beach, especially with the surf club opposite and The Deck bar close by.

I really loved the place so this is only a recommendation. The spa pool working once pool area was open. They could have notice regarding if spa not working reset with safe switch. Which we only found out about on check out.
Loved location and they gave us a upgrade with ocean views.

At night, it got stuffy and had to open the door for air or put the fan on to get the air circulating. The bed we slept in was very comfortable but at times I remember thinking that it was too soft.
I liked everything, the apartment was luxurious and clean. It was so nice I didn't want to leave.
