We loved the location - waking up in the mornings to see kangaroos outside was pretty exceptional. The lodges are well set out - whilst it was quite quiet when we are there, there is plenty of space between the lodges so I would imagine the feeling of getting away from it all would still be the case , even with more guests. Our lodge was so clean, not easy in a rural setting - and there was a sense of staying in a home , rather than a benign hotel room. The owners were super accommodating- there was a small problem with the pool, but they went out of their way to make it work for our stay. Really couldn’t fault this place !

Bathroom was yet to be refurbished in our cottage but was still super clean, a great size and incredibly functional

All of the cottages are well spaced out for privacy from other guests. The interior has been refurbished and loved the furniture/decor choices. The fireplace was awesome and the complimentary cheese platter on arrival was greatly appreciated. There are some great wineries within walking distance and Bimbadgen is super close to either head up for a nice meal or go to their downstairs woodfire pizza bar to eat or get takeaway. We find having things like that close by in the Hunter is great so everyone can enjoy the wine and no one has to be the designated driver

Loved the space to congregate and fireplace with plenty of wood. Location to wineries was fantastic. Early check in and place to leave the cars was appreciated.

Very cozy, the place had an aircon so we didn't need to rely on the fireplace to keep us warm Loved the welcome note and communication with the owners. The place is very close to a number of fantastic wineries, has a firepit and a pool onsite and I'd love to come back one day!

Very good facilities with all required amenities available within; excellent location in the heart of the wine making region of Hunter Valley; close to some of the best restaurants; very friendly owner who is available all the time and is very helpful. Large estate with Kangaroos roaming around in the morning was a beautiful sight to wake up to.

Great stay. The cabin was very cozy and private. Fireplace was great to get going of an evening. Well stocked kitchen. Close to all the wineries and other attractions in the Hunter. Friendly and helpful staff. Would highly recommend!

Toiletries smelt like mens aftershave - I’d recommend bringing your own.

I couldn’t fault the property. There is everything you need for a comfortable, home-style stay in the heart of the Hunter. I adored the wrap around balcony with hammock, the fireplace, comfy bed and the large smart tv. Above all else, the kitchen was impressively stocked with all the plates, glasses and pots and pans you need to be self sufficient and able to cook at home. Guy and Sandra are wonderful hosts and have created a place I’ll certainly return to!

Absolutely loved our stay here! Excellent facilities. We had a big group of 18 in 3 3 bedroom lodges and the hosts upgraded one of our lodges so we had a bigger communal area to share.

When we left that place, they called and said, “we have taken bed sheets and blamed on putting water on Ice cubes container which caused broken”(Which was not true). Making a false statement and charging extra money is a side business of this people. Please take pictures of everything before you leave. Otherwise, you will get a call for taking things to charge extra.

We had a wedding and hoped to get some rustic photos as the bride was getting ready but found the rooms small, the house in need of some updating, barely any room to hang a wedding dress or any other clothes. There was one little mirror behind the bathroom door which was not enough for a place where most guests would be attending weddings. Very disappointed with this house as we were expecting a more spacious area from the photos on the website. Very expensive for the condition of the house.

When I arrived the owner/manager came out to greet me but never said hello his first words were "check in isn't until 2pm" which was extremely rude and aggressive and no greeting was used. I had said I was wanting to place a birthday cake in the fridge as we will be going out and if there was a bathroom to use at all as we had been travelling via car. He repeated to myself check in isn't until later. I reiterated to him multiple times I knew this and that we were just there to drop off a cake and use the bathroom. He then replied that I could use the bathroom at the restaurant I choose for lunch or somewhere else which was completely rude and so dismissive. After a few moments someone came out to tell him yes the room was available - conveniently - and that I can use the bathroom and place the cake in the room. Very rude staff to patrons staying and I never suggested I wanted an earlier check in I just wanted to drop off my cake to a fridge. The bedding also was a little bit below standard. Sheets probably needed a freshen up but otherwise the towels were nice and it was a nice stay
