We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

AustraliaWe had breakfast in the restaurant. Unfortunately the bacon was overcooked. My eggs I asked for easy over, came out looking at me, the lovely staff lady took that back and had it corrected. And I can't recommend the coffee and hope they improve it. I had a mugaccino that tasted like warm milk. Again, they didn't just add a shot (was happy for them to do that) they made a fresh cup. My husbands GF meal came out with normal bread - again rectified with a smile (they were probably glad we left lol). However, the girl taking our orders was learning, so won't make those mistakes again. I would eat there again, as I am sure they improve service from feedback and mistakes. The restaurant was clean, cool (a bit too cool for this frog, but hubby thought it perfect lol) and I can't fault the service, the staff are 5 star!!
Don't let the historic front put you off. They have maintained the heritage, but once you go round the back to the entry it is a modern hotel. The rooms are clean, comfortable and amenities well provided. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Staff were happy to help with anything we requested (i.e. extra teabags and milk). IF there is anything to be said against it, it certainly isn't the staff, they are friendly, helpful and amazing. 5 star service.

United KingdomThe view from our room was disappointing as it looked out on the air conditioning units of a building at the back. However, this was shielded by curtains and did not distract from the overall ambience of the room
Thought Porters Plainland hotel looks ordinary from the outside, don't be fooled. The hotel area is a new addition with excellent sized, modern suits. Our double room was on the ground floor, with easy access from the car park. There was air conditioning and complimentary wi fi (unsecured) a king sized, very comfortable bed, with good quality linen. There was a small kitchenett area with complimentary tea & coffee and a carton of milk in the fridge. Cups, wine glasses, tumblers and cereal bowls were all provided. The room was serviced each day. There were complimentary toiletries in the bathroom, a large walk in shower and ample towels. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Porters restaurant is obviously very popular with locals and though we managed to get a table without pre booking, there was a slight wait for food. Meals were very large, (we took to sharing) but staff were happy to box up any leftovers. There was a very good menu with daily specials on the board. Cost of food and drink were comparable to elsewhere. Staff worked really hard to deliver quickly and efficiently. Altogether a great experience.

Everyone commented on the rooms which are spacious, modern and very comfortable. The Hotel has a dining area and bottle shop at the property.

AustraliaPaid $20 extra for a cot in the room which ended up being a small portacot - would have brought our own if known as drove down with plenty of space in the car.
Very clean and comfortable room and bed. Service was great. Food at the restaurant was very reasonable value and quality. No extra charge for room service from the restaurant. Happy with the stay and would definitely stay again if around that area.
