Granted it is an old property, and it is surrounded by greenery, but it has a feeling of neglect. The doors to the deck need work, the deck tiles need to be redone, the toilet roll holder in the second toilet is falling off, gutters need cleaning out, front door lock needs replacing - general maintenance. Also the smoke alarm went off at 4 am for no apparent reason.

The view is amazing and the location excellent - a few short steps to town. The kitchen is well equipped, lounges and bed comfortable.

The driveway was very slippery because of the moss growing on the bricks and we were concerned that we might fall and injure ourselves when it was wet. In addition, the car wheels spun when trying to reverse out of the carport.

The view is amazing. You look out and down into the valley from the deck. The location is super, right in town, and walking distance to restaurants and shops. It's very private and quiet, a great place to relax. Definitely would recommend it.

Two small issues: 1) the air conditioner didn't seem to be working, and it was a unseasonably hot weekend. 2) Would have loved a BBQ - didn't realise it didn't have one. Would love to return when the weather is a bit cooler and rug up by the fire.

Location can't be beat. Good value for money. Allowing pets. Good screens on the doors. Hosts were great allowing a late checkout on short notice.

We were surprised by the road noise, we didn't expect that. There is some maintenance that needed to be done which the owners were aware of and were on it.

The location was great, right on the doorstep to explore Montville! The views were excellent, loved being able to sit outside and enjoy the lovely view.

The house is a little run down. Even though some renovations have been done. For example, the ensuite bathroom looks new but, strangely, the sinkhole in the shower floor is raised and the water pools at the edges instead of flowing down the sinkhole.

The location and the view from the lounge and bedrooms are magical! Dealing with Zahra was quick, and efficient and she was friendly and very customer-oriented.

The bed and pillows in the main bedroom were not as comfortable as i have had elsewhere. Also there was lack of lounge/comfortable furniture on the patio. Only a table and up right chairs which did not really offer a great opportunity to relax out on the deck and enjoy the view with a glass of wine. The deck was quite unattractive and almost like a forgotten part of the house which is a shame as the view is so wonderful and we wanted to spend more time out there.

The location in the center of Montville was great. The view was fabulous. The bathrooms very good and access and parking excellent.

Ummm, the drive way was steep but that was OK, unfortunately the noise from the road on the right with the motorbikes and trucks and cars coming up were super loud, we thought it would be peaceful as the location, apart from that road, def would have been super quiet but that road make it loud. Some of the doors need some oil but that's not major and easy to fix.

Location was good and the view incredible and the outdoor and indoor fire was a bonus and the later check out was much appreciated.

The roof in the ensuite bathroom was covered in mould. The light fixtures in the second bedroom were very dirty and the ceiling had spiders and webs in all rooms. The lovely table with tablecloth on the balcony in the photos is actually a white plastic table that has gone grey. The house had an animal/ mould smell and there was a lot of scuff marks and a few broken handles here and there. However the property location is amazing, as is the view. The linen was clean and fresh and the kitchen and bathroom clean where it counts. The water pump goes off in the night and is quite noisy. If this was a friend’s holiday home you would be stoked but when you are paying you expect a little more. We found all the bed very very firm and creaky.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Our family just loved Potter's Place. It was a charming village home, with a wonderful feel to it. It was in the heart of Montville's main street, but off the road. The view was spectacular from the verandah, overlooking the glorious countryside and the sea. We would definitely stay here again.

It would have been good if the kitchen included a coffee machine, but given that The Edge is so close, you can always get coffee there!

The location and view make this a stunning place to stay. When you are in the house, you feel like you are miles from anywhere, yet you are right in the centre of Montville! From the balcony, you look across the Sunshine Coast and can see glimpses of the ocean.

The plumbing caused huge problems. No water when I arrived. Plumbers there, . sewerage seeped up through the shower and over the floor. Pump ran all night and kept me awake first night. Second night glugging noises from sewage in shower slowly draining kept me awake till 3am despite advising owners not fixed and overflowed in the morning . Constant interruptions due to their plumbing issues. When I complained to the owner to seek a refund they shirked responsibility and wrote a very rude response and only refunded $200. Appalling holiday and property. Looks nice on the outside but because of the plumbing issues my worst holiday ever.
