How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room was quite old, the windows not really clean that’s a pity bc the views was pretty nice. The shower was leaking for hours after we used it.

pillows were a little hard, but that is the only tiny niggle - everything else was fantastic!
staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable, extremely friendly. fantastic location with the most spectacular views over Hyde Park!

Rooms needs to be refreshed, there were cracks, plumbing issues, etc. little bit dusty but nothing that can impact your stay there. Its just about small details, otherwise, all good.
Breakfast was very complex with options and fresh. The view of the room was nice. Location was great of you plan to walk around it satisfied all expectations.

The bathrooms needed better ventilation as there was mould on the ceiling.
Rooms were spacious, kids loved the buffet and Candy O’clock. Staff were amazing. The location meant we could walk to most things. Great checkin and check out.

We booked and paid for 3 people, but we only got 2 robes, 2 towels, and 2 mugs. We called up and received the towels and robes but never received the extra mug. We also didn't have a remote in the room which we had to call and ask for.
We loved it overall, gorgeous view, clean room, comfortabe bed, attentive staff.

Loved the location and the ambience. The accommodation was booked at short notice and the staff were excellent in helping us. The beds were much appreciated for their comfort. With the famous Oxford Street around the corner, we were able to indulge in the history of the street both in the morning and at night. The Hyde Park views were excellent, as was the view from the pool deck.

The carpet in the room is not very clean and bath tub has hair. The toilet has no toilet brush. Time to update the property. Everything looks out of date.
The location is excellent. Close to restaurants, shopping and park. Staff are nice and friendly.

More 'warmth' to the foyer, it wasn't very welcoming although the receptions were very helpful and pleasant. More options in the coffee shop/cafe. Such as a pastry, muffin or similar for people who may want a coffee and cake alternative.

You can hear the room next door especially the bathroom- so not very pleasant at night when you are trying to sleep.

Your lifts are very slow, especially at peak times. I was on level 12 and my colleague was on level 16, and we often waiting 4-5 minutes for the lift to arrive. I felt sorry for the people on lower levels, as often the lifts were full when they wanted to get in.
Great location, room was good, bed was comfortable, breakfast was good, but ran out of eggs both mornings.

Gym, pool, jacuzzi area could have been kept more clean and tidy, water jug in gym was often empty and gym had an unkept feel to it.

I wasn't informed at check-in how to connect to the Wi-Fi. When you connect to the network, it gives you the options of logging in using your name/room number or with a password. I assumed I should do the former, which didn't work. I used my room phone to call reception for assistance but no one answered, so I had to go back down just after checking in, where they advised that I needed to use the other option and provided me with the password. So this should have been provided at check-in, but obviously this was only a minor inconvenience. Sometimes the lift takes a while to arrive when called. At weekends the breakfast buffet is very busy and getting tea and coffee can take a little while.
Really nice hotel at a great location in Sydney. Close to Museum train station for easy airport access, and also for very quick access to Circular Quay (which is also walking distance for most people). My room was very spacious and clean with a nice view. The rooftop pool is lovely, if a little small. Breakfast was very tasty with plenty of options. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

They provide a huge tub in the room, but no stopper since, presumably, they don't want you to actually use it? The walls were paper-thin. I could hear every grunt of the people in the bathroom next to us and hall noise echoed in our room. The thermostat didn't seem to make a difference. Wait for elevators is excessive, even for a structure this tall.
Good location for a tourist... Within walking distance of several attractions and the hop-on-hop-off bus... If "walking distance" includes 30-minutes for a traveler, there's a lot available. Staff were friendly and courteous. Facility was well maintained.

One suite had fruit/snack platter and refrigerator stocked while the other one didn’t. Same suite didn’t even have cups there to have a coffee/tea. Got cup’s delivered only to have coffee machine not working. Room service didn’t provide alcohol after 10.30 pm. No residents bar availability after 10pm. Staff on the other hand were very nice.
