None of the windows opened and there was no ac in the bedrooms so it was very stuffy and airless. It also smelled a bit (as expected when you can’t air a room.

After selecting Punthill Williamstown as our accomodation as it was advertised as Pets Allowed on booking.com upon check in they told us their dog policy was an additional $250. This is not a hold fee, this is a charge and is non refundable. After realizing our booking itself was already unrefundable we were put on a very awkward spot on a public holiday late afternoon and we needed to be somewhere else so had no time to find an alternative. Reception was very defensive they told me I should have rang before confirming my booking.com (what's the point of being on this site if they need this to accept pets) as much as they advertise they are pet friendly they have a large charge to cover this. I have never experienced a hotel charging such a fee, albeit expecting it to be more than my nights accomodation $220. If you need to charge extra for being dog friendly build it into your booking.com cost as a room option. Ive spent my week at other Pets Allowed accomodation (with nicer facilities) and when they need to charge they do it this way. This needs to be VERY CLEAR especially how much their fee is to accept dogs before booking. Not putting it on customers that it's on them that they didn't ring beforehand? Honestly it's not even clearly on your site. It's asking even then to contact the hotel to get the pet policy, why gatekeep this fee so much. If anything such a hotel to charge such a large fee shouldn't even bother to advertise as Pets Allowed on booking.com at all. To say there are charges may apply without the fee listed should not be acceptable without any clear indication of how large the fee is as its available on request only. They should have also told me this before my stay (they contacted me to ask me if I needed parking so why not tell me about this?) This is not clearly stated on their booking.com page and again, this fee was MORE than our nights cost. And the room was not worth the $470 grand total.

We arrived on the Thursday and then because it was the Easter long weekend they wouldn’t clean our room or even empty the rubbish for us or restock towels or toilet paper. I had to take rubbish down to the basement myself. I paid a lot for the room and feel that if you are only there for the long weekend it’s not fair to them not clean your room for 4 days. We left on the Wednesday morning in the lady said she would get the room cleaned on Tuesday but they still didn’t do it. The other issue was that the spa deck is usually open till 7:00pm. I feel this should be open later each night but over the Easter weekend it shut at 5:00. I can’t understand why they would need to shut it at 5:00. I couldn’t have a spa the whole time of my stay as we were busy all day and would have loved a spa after tea. My Child did have a spa in the day but I didn’t have the opportunity until After tea each day.

The location was great. I really think these type of premises should include undercover secure parking as part of the rate charged per night for the hotel. They charge enough anyway and I feel parking should be included.

The cost of the overnight stay well exceeded the amenities provided. The room while clean needed updating/renovation. The lounges were saggy to sit in, the carpet was poorly patched in places and paint peeling on walls where it was obviously from damp. Also the shower is in the bathtub! There was aircon an the lounge but none in the bedroom, and no ceiling fan. It would have been cheaper for me to UBER there and back to have a night out with my friends!!

Fabulous property. Beautiful views, excellent location, 1 minute walk to shops, restaurants and the water. Host was so friendly and helpful and gave us lots of help with transport, restaurants and information about Melbourne. Could not fault it!

The whole vibe but the receptionist named Vicki was outstanding...we arvd late jus before she was fnshng her shift and im sure a long day was had but she was so amazing as tho she had just started her shift...so cheery helpful just lovely...the nxt day i even locked myself out an it was again the end of her shift but that didnt phase her mood she went above and beyond to make sure it wasnt a prob...thanks so much Vicki...i spoke to sme staff and even they sd how fantastic front reception are....the room was spotless...and the lovely housekeepers were so onpoint with their servicing of our room...
