our room was very clean and comfortable and a perfect size for a couple. everything we needed right there with lovely decorative touches. the pub being directly under the accomodation was fantastic and the food was delicious. lovely dining area as well.

The noise at night when trying to sleep from the pub below and the road/railway on either side of the hotel - you definitely can't be a light sleeper! Otherwise, all good.

The traffic noise and no fresh air in the room..Would have liked a window to open even if it was a warm night.

The size of the room and bathroom .The decor and furnishings. The bed was comfortable .The fridge was nice and cold.Great to gave a quiet split system too.

Only thing I could say negatively about this property is as my husband had a bad back in this visit we would have liked a chair in the room but it wasn’t a real issue

Not that it worried me but figured out what the ear plugs supplied were for....Friday night pub night but the noise finished early.

Close to train station. Cosy & comfortable for overnight stay. Bottle shop in hotel very handy.

Lingering cigarette smoke everywhere despite being non smoking- probably hard to get out of a very old building.

Room looked exactly like the photo. Everything was clean and bed was comfortable. Room was very tiny but ok for a short stay.

Convenient location right on the highway, near a train station and cafes. Surprisingly quiet—we didn’t hear pub noise or traffic, despite being on a main highway. We unfortunately got there too late to take advantage of the free drinks and food discount included in the very reasonable rate. Fabulous shower!! Comfortable bed, all very clean. Parking.

It's above a pub. I thought it would be more like a traditional hotel. People should be aware it's above a bar, a casino, and BWS. Those things didn't affect my room or security or bother me while in my room, but since I wasn't really expecting it to be a hotel of that nature, I'm not sure you'd list it as a traditional hotel. I can't complain, though, as the price was extremely reasonable.

It's quaint, clean, economical, and has good amenities. I needed to ask for a room upgrade to a room with a desk, and they accommodated me without changing the price.

The rooms are newly renovated and despite being minimalist are comfortable. The location is good and bad - very central and ideal for transport, but noise could be a problem for some people. Train noise was reduced over the weekend because of maintenance work, but the partying in the beer garden was very loud. The bistro is good. No breakfast is available, but it is a short walk via a tunnel under the highway to cafes on a side street.

Being next to the major roads made it a little noisy - but earplugs provided.

we booked a 3 beddy, but on the day, the accommodation had some electricity issues, so the staff moved us to 2 separate room neighbouring each other for no extra charge. Nice cold aircond, esp during the muggy summer days. Ear plugs as the hotel is located next to a main arterial and train tracks. Nice touch with ear plugs. Basic ammenities - tea, coffee, complimentary water, Netflix! Comfy bed, with complimentary beers for each guest.
