Smell of the cigarettes at the reception.

Clean, spacious and quiet rooms. Even facing the main road , you can't hear the traffic. Great location and close to everything I needed. Staff very polite.

On checkin I had to give a one off credit card payment even though I had fully paid for the room. I didn’t bring a credit card and the machines wouldn’t work for my phone so I ended up having to ring my husband to get my credit card number and pay an extra $300 bond. It was a bit of a rough way to check in but the stay got so much better after that.

The beds were exceptionally comfortable. It was wonderful to have a balcony and individual air conditioning units. It was fantastic to have a friendly bistro downstairs as it was pouring all night so we could get a DELICIOUS dinner without having to go outside. Also I had left my phone charger at home and the lovely girl at reception lent me one for the night.

It was clean enough, not the cleanest. The exhaust fan in the bathroom that had very hot showers, did not work. They checked and inform me that they don’t have exhaust fans in the bathrooms, only air vents which they tested to find was working. However there was a strange sign in the bathroom that said that you would fine $1500 if you showered with the door to the bathroom open and the steam triggers a false alarm.

The TV is a bit too old I think. Netflix didn't work at all.

I liked the bed and nice big sofa in the room. Also one free drink at the bar/restaurant was nice gesture.

There was a problem with our credit card which has been resolved. On checkin I was given a receipt for $552 being the original reservation. Our credit card was eventually debited with $644abt) which included the additional cost of the third party, our son, who drove us the Narrabeen. I have not received a receipt for that amount. Relating to the 'third party' it is cosidered that the additional cost of about $48/night, in additiuon to the $262, is not warranted having regard to the policy of other accommodation investigated. I consider the four star rating as high!

The room was huge. The location was amazing. Having a receptionist provide a towel for a beach swim at 6 am was perfect. The pub was well enjoyed the night before. The complimentary was much appreciated. I would definitely stay here again.

Very expensive, our visit was over Christmas so expected the price to be higher but very pricey for our accommodation. We were visiting family for the Christmas season so chose to stay. The entrance is not inviting, as connected to hotel.

Great location and staff were friendly and helpful. The security keys were good, and you felt safe with 24hour staff at reception. Good parking underneath. Close to lovely restaurants and the beach.
