How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Clean and modern. The studio was a generous size and very comfortable. Great location too. Front desk check-in was very welcoming and friendly.

Air conditioner was not controlled in the room. Needed reception to turn it on. A bit frustrating as people like rooms at certain temps

I love a true queen bed, rather than two doubles pushed together.
Superb location for shopping, eating, site-seeing. If you were only in Melbourne for s short time you couldn't go wrong with the spot.

We were staying for 5 nights and my wife is a very light sleeper so we requested a quiet room with a nice view - well in advance of our stay. Upon arrival at 1am we were told we did not have this for the first night. And for our request to be fulfilled, we had to move rooms the following morning. This was both disappointing and inconvenient and interfered with our plans for the first day of our trip. We did move and the second room was quieter and had a much better view, but was generally much dirtier than the first room (e.g. dust/other people's hairs on the couch, several stains on the carpets, cleaning not as thorough etc). So much so that I requested the cleaners attend again. Overall it was a good stay, but could have been much better without all the hassle at the start.
The staff really make this place. To be greeted, after midnight, straight from the airport, with good cheer and warmth is a real credit to Gustavo. The rooms are really well appointed from a practical point of view; washer, drier, tea, tea towel, reading lamps in thoughtful places, even a coffee bag in the coffee plunger etc. The furnishings are reasonably visually appealing and comfortable, which exceeded our expectations of a Quest apartment. We enjoyed good sleep there due to the excellent block out curtains. The location in Collingwood is very good and surprisingly quiet. Gym was satisfactory.

Location is great for our office, near all the hustle and bustle of Collingwood (shops, restaurants, bars etc), minutes from the CBD and surrounding suburbs (Richmond, Brunswick, Carlton etc). Staff are always super helpful and friendly and the place is always immaculately clean and tidy

OUr experience at Quest Collingwood was excellent. Spacious unit with separate bedroom, included a kitchenette, full sized fridge, washer & dryer. Everything needed for a long stay and in a great area. Plenty of eateries, shopping and public transport. Would definitely rebook.

Everything was fine. There may be better locations if sightseeing is your priority, but it is also nice to be a bit out of the CBD.
The staff were fantastic - very friendly and helpful. The location in Collingwood was convenient. Everything is new and fresh.

Great and friendly staff who were quick to fix any issues. Studio had everything you need for a short stay and the kitchenette is well equipped. The hotel is quite new so everything was very clean.

Very narrow pokey underground car park

oh... the only thing was beyond your control... I really struggled with the hill up to Smith Street. Please can your staff recommend "Two Birds" cafe on Peel Street, we frequented there almost every day during our 4 day stay, awesome coffee, service and food xx
I can't complement the staff enough!! They were excellent, no question was too hard or too silly... :) Thank you all again for making our stay so awesome. We will definitely visit again xx
