Beautiful location on the river. Loved spending time outdoors, cooking on the bbq and eating together on the verandah. The outdoor bath and shower were really special.

Nothing that important - maybe a few less little labels around the house?

Beautiful gardens and peaceful location, birdsong, access to river (perfect for adventure and cooling off), fun for kids, fresh eggs from chooks, outdoor bathtub & loo with a view. Comfortable home with plenty of room, reverse cycle aircon, interesting historical/nature info, lots of thoughtful touches to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Not much. Having to go out to the back veranda to go to the toilet in the middle of the night is an inconvenience.

Beautiful property. Barrington River running through through the rear boundary. Amazing bird life not to mention the girls in the chook pen providing us with fresh eggs daily. Fabulously maintained gardens. So well stocked we took home a lot of things we didn’t need to bring. Hosts that bend over backwards to make sure you have a great stay. Outdoor hot /cold showers were our favourite perk.

Not an issue but handy to have a torch to access the main toilet on the back verandah at night so as not to wake the other guests.

Mansfield Cottage is a spacious house with 2 lounge rooms to relax in, ample space in the 4 bedrooms & a well appointed kitchen with all the necessities. The ping pong table made for fun together time & although we didn't use the numerous TV's with video & DVD options they were there if needed. The cottage is in a pretty setting with the hills, river & birdlife. The walk around the Fairyland & down to the river is very nice & a fun way to entertain the family. The fresh eggs & other necessities were an added bonus. The other added touches like an apron next to the BBQ, the fire lit in the lounge room for our arrival all made for a lovely stay.

Gets too cold, esp for people who love summers that are not comfortable with cold weather, watch out.

Loved the property, it felt like we were staying at my mother in laws home, very comfortable. The position was brilliant, views to the west to watch the sunsets. Sitting around the fire relaxing, reading, playing card games. checking the chickens for eggs. Enjoyed our time there.

An inside toilet in addition to the outside toilet/s would be a nice addition, especially in winter or in a larger group. We managed very well with 4 adults and in late April :)

Excellent fire place, rooms were large and very comfortable, peaceful location and removed from town but still only a 10min drive away.

Beautiful old country cottage, so close to the river. immaculately clean with everything provided…just bring your food. amazing gardens and property, and so quiet. the outdoor bath and shower is an added bonus.

Location is amazing being nestled in the wonderful countryside and so close to the main beauty spots. It is also perfect being ‘in the country’ but close to shops etc

Greeted with a welcoming fire and everything clean and tidy. Loved the hosts added touches to feeling very comfortable and homely. Amazing outdoor experience with lovely sounds from running river and nature views.

It took us a while to work out that the second toilet was part of the outdoor bathroom.

Location is spectacular with views of green hills, trees, cows and granite outcrops. Birdlife is amazing: Golden Whistlers, Satin Bower Birds, Dollar Birds, King Parrots plus we spotted a Boobook. Beds were very comfortable and kitchen has everything you need.

The cottage is beautifully kept and in an amazing location. The sheets and towels provided were of quality material and the whole house was immaculate. We only had to bring our own food.

Spotlessly clean, warm and cosy. A beautiful quaint little cottage full of charm and character. Everything was catered for and more. Our hosts had thought of everything including fresh eggs from the resident chooks. Could not have asked for a better place to stay. A short walk to the river and the scenery beautiful. We were a party of 7 and would highly recommend this beautiful old cottage and their hosts. Wonderful time had by all.
