    Nothing

I was in room 3Ma, and it was great. I felt like a hobbit. It was a delight. I liked the beauty and peace of the room which was a sharp contrast to the above ground streetscape, of rubble and dust. 3rd or 4th visit to Coober Pedy...love the place.

Although knowing that I booked the budget rooms I was not prepared to see that the walls did not go up entirely to the top. Neither the one to the hallway nor to the adjacent rooms. I think this was not pictured in any of the pics provided here. Although the purpose behind this is certainly to ventilate the rooms well, it was hella noisy all around. They’re currently doing some renovations so maybe they also tackle this issue and the friendly guy at the reception made sure I was alone in my corner of the hallway, so there weren‘t a lot of noises from room neighbors at least.

Very nice owner, the underground layout provides constantly pleasant temperatures, clean facilities and kitchen. Top location, you can pretty much walk to all the important places.

Nothing really to complain about, the bed wasn't the greatest, however for a couple of nights it was fine.

The young gentleman who greeted me was fantastic, full of knowledge & couldn't have been more helpful... Room I got was very much "underground" which was the experience I was looking for... Facilities were clean & comfortable 👌

The kitchen needs a little bit more of cleaning.

I arrived in early morning by Greyhound bus and the owner told me how to get into the lounge beforehand. A couple of hours later he kindly let us leave our luggage. The room was not in underground but cool enough

Comfortable and interesting place to stay in Coober Pedy. The staff are excellent and welcoming and the room is comfortable although quite compact. The shared outdoor settings were a welcome addition. The guest laundry was also very convenient and appreciated.

Rooms could do with a lamp to soften the harsh lighting

Basic but comfortable facilities. Really cool to sleep underground. Ask for the lower rooms if you want the full experience. Right in the middle of town.

it would have been better to have two bedside tables. When there are two people in a bed, it is frustrating when there is only one bedside table to use. Also there were no bedside lights which made it tricky when having to get up at night time.

The room was cosy and pretty comfortable. It was located in the centre of town and easy to get to other facilities like cafes and fuel stops

The twin double room was very basic, and corridor light on all night meant the room was never fully dark, so didn't get the full underground experience

However, still got to experience the concept of being underground- very quiet. Shower and kitchen were clean and great. Staff v friendly

Common bathroom could be cleaner. In my opinion a little bit pricey for a room with shared bathroom, but it is the same for all the motel/hotel I have been to in Australia

    Well nothing really

You drive into Coober Pedy for the first time ever and think oh gosh where am I 😂 Then you’re met by Gary to check in and realise this place is super cool and unique! We also met Pete the new owner and just cannot rate the staff and their knowledge enough! Our underground family room was clean and cosy beds were comfy and located super close to everything in the small town. It is a little old and tired but that was part of the charm was absolutely perfect and secure. Thanks Pete can’t wait to see what you do with this place!

Typical of Coober Pedy, it is a bit dusty. Closing the windows and the door address that problem.

Exciting to experience the typical 'dugout' accommodation only found in Coober Pedy. Radeka is close to restaurants, the museum, bus terminal. It has a well organized refrigerators current use and those that are for 'grab' or foods previous clients want to give away.
