Having a shared toilet and shower made the stay difficult - primarily because it was down the corridor away from our room. However the toilet and shower facilities were very good but tight to move around in. The outside access was via a fairly steep staircase so it would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues and it would be more difficult in inclement weather. The building was very old and as such had creaky floorboards. The bed was uncomfortable but experience tells me that is to be expected with a lower priced accommodation. The township of Railton was very small and being there on a weekend meant that much was closed.

The location was within 30 mins of the Devonport port and was on the main access road to Cradle Mountain. Having a pub with drinking and eating facilities on site was an advantage.

Nothing it was great for location & price. Just know you’re not booking a fancy modern place, it’s dated but that’s the charm.

Very clean, room was large, complimentary fruit in the fridge, wonderful staff.

Everything could have been newer and smarter, but all was good as it was.

For an "ordinary old country pub" in a small village, it was surprisingly good. Very glad we chose to stay there.

The mattress sloped so it was a bit uncomfortable however it added to the rustic feel. Ok for me but not if you have back issues. No aircon and our room got quite warm(summer) however the pedestal fan gave relief.

Old fashioned pub with old fashioned service. Loved that it was a true country pub without the frills but homely. Free basic breakfast, coffee and tea facilities in the room.Bathroom is down the hall and clean. They make a great pub meal.

A great pub stay. Owners are excellent and by far the best sleep I've had in ages. Breakfast was a nice addition and appreciated. I wasn't able to stay for a meal, but heard great things and will be back.

For such a small town the main road was surprisingly noisy, but the owner did warn me, and it didn't really affect me.

Dinner was delicious and huge! The room was very spacious, as was the shared bathroom. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast had a good range of help-yourself options,
