How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Our stay was great, the apartment is very spacious with a big balcony with parcial ocean view. You have everything you need, the kitchen is fully equipped. The day we were leaving, Shane drove us to the airport because of the lack of transportation, that was very nice from him, otherwise we could have lost our flight.

such a beautiful place Too stay staff are really helpful and always greeting you with a smile location is great really close to surrounding beaches and cafes and pool and spa area was always clean and evan warm enough too swim in in the middle off winter really glad we booked Here whole family loved it would definitely stay there again

When attempting to reenter the rear of the building after putting my rubbish outside, I could not unlock the door as my key did not seem to fit. I had to return to the front of the building via the walkway of the adjoining property.

Great, spacious 2 x bedroom ocean view apartment in an excellent location, a short walk to Rainbow Bay beach. The staff are very friendly & helpful. Close by to local clubs, restaurants, cafes, shops, walking path along the coast line and local beaches. Apartment was well equipped with 2 x bathrooms, washing machine, dryer, free Wi-fi, Netflix, Stan, & secure parking directly underneath the complex. Very relaxing stay for the week.

The only thing we didn't like was the weather. Unfortunately, things such as this are unavoidable but we still managed time at the beach and enjoyed our stay at Rainbow Bay.
The location of the property and the facilities such as pool, spa and bbq area are a real plus. The apartment was well appointed and had everything that you need. Having 2 bathrooms and a laundry was very handy.

The only slight disappointment was the partial sea view from the apartment. It was very limited and other apartments for a comparable nightly rate had better views. But I appreciate it's hard to describe this when someone is booking online.

Could not fault anything. Maybe just some information on how and what level the pool was on for the kids to access it.
The view and open plan of kitchen dinning was perfect. Was a perfect size unit for a family of 4 to be comfortable. Love that there was 2 bathrooms and washing and drying facilities.

Didn’t have enough time there could spend another couple of weeks.
The location was perfect for us ,close to the beach. Cafes nearby and wasn’t far to walk when we wanted to. The apartment was above and beyond hat we expected.The host’s where fantastic any request was handle fast and no fuss. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Room needs an update and the sheets did not fit the beds.
Pool and spa were great, very clean. The hosts were very friendly and extremely helpful. Price was very good value. Good location and close to everything. Would definitely stay there again as a family. Loved that it was cancellation-free up until close to departure.

Great location and even tho the apartments were full there was plenty of privacy and single use time in the pool and spa. Great BBQ facilities and unit was well equipped with great upgrades within. The managers Susan and Shane were very helpful with any local idea and requests.
