The room was a bit dingy & extremely basic, i.e. no wardrobe, bedsides etc. The TV was above the bed so you could not relax on the bed to watch TV. We were advised by the staff we could get food at the pub, but it was shut for the weekend & the general store closed early on Saturday. Luckily we had pot noodles. The communial kitchen area could have done with a very good scrub.

The motel was beside the general store & hotel.

I understand that keeping Motel Rooms in good condition takes money. The carpets were heavily stained, the blind did not give privacy (from those in the carpark). The room (my room was No. 5) has not seen a reasonable level of effort by the cleaning staff. Nor has it seen a coat of paint this century.

The motel was a few minutes drive from the property next to the Rankins Springs Golf Club. The bed was comfortable & the shower was as it should be, with reasonable pressure & hot.

Outside of premises needs a cleanup. Unfortunately kitchen door wasn't sealed properly and allowed dirt/bugs to enter.

TV no reception and in a spot that was just not right for viewing

There was a stench, sewer smell, all night. Worse when another room's facilities were use. I had to open the two windows, but main window at front is obstructed by Glass mounted TV antenna. The blowflies loved the sewer stench. I was looking maybe there was a dead mouse or rat, under the fridge hasn't been cleaned in so long. At 2 am I considered taking the blankets out to the car to sleep, but I found a face mask instead. Carpet floor was badly stained, no walking barefoot on this one,, really, it is bad. TV worked, but reception kept breaking up, on all channels. Bed lamp was loose, and didn't work. Blind at main window doesn't fit the window, outside light floods in at night. There is more, but these are the main issues. Not a healthy environment.

Advertisement, communication and customer service.

Online advertised pet friendly and drove a extra 120 to get to motel for booking . Only yo be turned away because of poodle.

this should not even be a motel. it smelt and on the floor next to the bed was a stain obviously from someone being sick. no kettle or cups had to use a seperate kitchen that had dirty dishes and dead flies everywhere. one blanket and it was cold just a very noisy tiny fan heater. disgusted they could charge money for this.

The uncleanliness of community kitchen. The room wasn’t outfitted like a regular motel room with wardrobe, eating utensils, teas coffee etc. very dirty floor.. Just unacceptable. Folk in room next door of same opinion. Don’t think would pass health and safety inspection

The motel is old and run down. The cheap plastic aircon unit is taped in. The place was filthy. A piece of soap on shower floor. Bad stains on carpet. TV is above your head when laying down and just stuck on wall with a temp antenna. Tiling in shower has structural cracks through them. Car Park has gravel and not had any attention for many years. The common kitchen had grubs and leaves on floor. The only thing I feel was missing was rats. Something isn't right as you'd have to ask how the owners pay their bills. Unless they are subsidised by a very large and aggressive country. They are setting a very bad example for all those great people in that same town.

Where do I start?? Beds were like sleeping on a rock, blinds weren't attached properly so the light came in at the crack of dawn, waking up the little one. It was smelly and dirty. Smelt mouldy. It was unpleasant and uncomfortable. The table was very old and scratched. No usable sockets. Lights on bedhead not working. Staff didn't come across as being helpful or friendly. It was basically a shot hole

Was putrid. Smelt of Dettol but unsure where they used it. Carpet stained and filthy, toothpaste in the sink, shower was full of soap scum, tv was on the bedhead. Looked under the bed but shouldn't have, it's the stuff nightmares are made of. A separate kitchen was available but we didn't know about it. Not that we would have used it, again putrid. Bulk tea/coffee facilities with off milk.

There was nothing to like. No facilities in the room. Communal kitchen third rate and looked as though it hadn't been cleaned for weeks. Floor covered with dead insects and spiders. TV mounted above bedhead so that it couldn't be seen from the bed, antenna was fixed to the window with blue tack and had to be moved around to pick up an intermittent signal.

Had breakfast at the shop next door which was excellent. There was nothing to like at the motel. I have stayed at motels all over the country, and this was by far the worst.
