How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Nothing everything was perfect
Honestly everything and the hotel manager was so kind. I’d honestly stay there again I’d never really thought of Redcliffe as a holiday destination until we went there for the weekend. The view from our room was amazing.

The smell from the garbage chute on level 3 was terrible. We all had to block our noses to get from the lift to our room. Thankfully the rooms were airtight and the smell did not leak through. I suggest the chute is inspected. It smelt like something was dead down there. Other than that it was great. Thank you

glass coffee table, breakable decor around the unit. I quickly put all the decorations up out of reach. Lastly safety wise the sharp knives were in the second or third drawer in kitchen and could be easily reached by my 18mth old. *luckily I checked for this and emptied draw of knives and potentially dangerous utensils before she started exploring. Maybe knife blocks on the kitchen bench would be better.
Clean, easy access to parking and parking easily labelled and explained both in person and in writing. Aircon and TVs were easy to use. There was a second tv in the second bedroom = kids could watch something else, yay!!

Mattress need to be changed. A couple of them a bit saggy. Kitchen could have done with more dishwashing liquid and dishwashing tablets. Also some spray and wipe to wipe down benches. Yes we could have gone to reception to get more, but we left early and came back late. These are items I understand people will take from the rooms but items I don’t necessarily want to have to take with me
Apartment was spacious,clean and tidy. View was great. Great location. Staff lovely. All information given was excellent. Will definitely comeback.

Pool had little sun. Room faced back street with construction of new apartments. Having to remove own rubbish from the room.
Bed was comfortable and clean. Location was within easy reach of the waterfront and cafes. Room was good. Partial view of the sea from the balcony. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Public transport system
Location was good walk across the road down the stairs and right at the beach, plenty of sightseeing in redcliffe aswell and alot of war history around the town redcliffe museum was interesting aswell, apartments were very well maintained and pool was good to swim in.

Nothing was too much trouble. We needed some things printed for us and they did that at no cost and we stuffed up the email address and they were so patient with us while we got it right. We were there for my elderly mothers funeral and they were very compasionate. Will defintely stay again.

Had a couple of minor issues with lack of cleaning supplies, detergent etc, which the staff in Reception were happy to rectify.
Beds were extremely comfortable and location was great. Staff were lovely and friendly.

Beds too small for 2 adults in our apartment.
Secure floors, close to supermarkets, shops,eateries, overlooks beach. 3 bedroom apartment was big enough for 4 adults and 2 kids.

It was a great time at Redvue. The 3 bedroom apartment was huge and the view was amazing! Very easy check in, close to everything. The appartments are very clean and I love the smell in the diffusers, scattered through the hotel. Please let me know where you got them.😊
