Pack light - there are no lifts so if you get the second-floor apartment, you will have to carry your bags up the stairs yourself. People staying for 1 night or more are provided with the same items such as 1 small milk for the tea/coffee. They gave us 1.5 toilet paper rolls for a 3-night stay (5 people staying in the 2-bedroom apartment) and then charged us for the extra one we requested at checkout time saying it is a self-catering apartment! The kitchen facilities are limited - no basics like salt and pepper. I have re-read the information provided on Booking.com to see where they say they are self catering. The ad say they are "self-contained" apartments. We have stayed at other self contained apartments and never had to face such an issue. There are other cheaper places available at Port Douglas that provide better options.

The pool was small but nice. You have to pay extra for pool towels though. The apartment was reasonably clean.

Room is very dated, toilet door was unhinged, people smoking next door, no oven, fridge very small, no vent in toilet, bath/shower very uncomfortable and dirty, taps rusted, TV remote didn't work, had to pay for beach towels and any transport, long way from main street.

Pool was fantastic, location regarding beach was very convenient, staff were very informative and friendly, atmosphere was very relaxing. BBQ facilities excellent

No elevator to the 2nd floor apartment, but once we had carried our luggage up, subsequent ascents were easy enough. If you have an injury, or perhaps a little unfit, request a ground or first floor apartment when booking.

Great pool and plenty of loungers and shade / sun options. Easy walk to the beach and not too far to walk into the village for shopping and supplies. Walk to town took 18 minutes (along the beach) which was fine for us, but would be a struggle in the hot season and with groceries. We loved (and used) the verandah daily, and there was not too much road noise.

The room wasn’t cleaned properly. Linen all clean however on arrival floors sticky, benches not wiped down, dust build up, oven top dirty. My glasses fell between the couch cushions, so pulled cushions off and came across old food scraps, dirt. Even asked for cleaning products so I could clean the room on arrival but only got a sponge. Also the room we stayed in was on the roadside and was incredibly noisy with no relief from passing traffic. (60km zone) Often escaped to back of grounds for some peace and quite. So bad I asked to be moved to another room which couldn’t be accommodated. Unpleasantly noisy.

Location was great and the grounds were attractive, nice garden.

The cleanliness- there were ants in the kitchen every time despite cleaning down benches. The dishes in the cupboard were grimy and not cleaned properly prior. There were no screens on the windows so insects came in and lots of mosquitos. The balcony had leaves overflowing from the garden which made it very dirty and messy. No elevators and we were put in a top floor balcony with a baby and toddler, which meant we had to walk up and down 3 flights of stairs every time we went to room. People living in other units permanently would come out and be very rude and angry while we were sitting in the common area even despite not having to leave until the designated time and not being loud.

Good location as it’s very close to the beach (one street away) and a short 10 minute walk to the Main Street in port Douglas. Good availability of parking. Heated pool and grass area to spread out on and for kids to play.

The establishment is over 30 years old and in desperate need of a Renovation for some parts. We Bookked over 3 months earlier and it included Off-Street Parking. Unfortunately because we a Roof Rack our 4WD vehicle couldn't fit in the Underground CarPark, but the rear carpark was limited to approximately 8 cars paces that was first in and not allocated. Some of these vehicles could have parked in the Underground one, but as there are two Blocks of Apartments people would park at the rear if they were staying there. Plus there was a Red Scooter taking up a whole car space the majority of our 13 Night stay. There were over 66 Apartments, 3 Levels, and no lifts. For older or disabled people this place would not be a good place to stay. The Pool Heating wasn't working and the Spa was getting fixed when we first a. The Pool needs to be re-tiled or renovated as it looks tired too. I didn't swim in it as the PH level looked wrong and the water was murky. Not like ours at Home. The Apartment we stayed in was in the first block was on the 3rd Floor. It was a 2 Bedroom Unit with 3 Balconies facing West. Unfortunately, the Living Room had 2 Wooden Shutters into the Master Bedroom where the Television was and the volume went straight into the bedroom. The Master Bedroom Door lock didn't work or shut properly when you shut the Ensuite Bathroom door. It would open automatically. Very annoying. Plus in the Bathroom the light would flicker probably due bad wiring. Plus there was no exhaust fan which would make it more humid when showering or bathing. Plus smelly as no separate toilet. The 2nd Bedroom looks like there was 2 King Single Beds as the door wouldn't open all the way. The BIR in this room had no Rod to hang clothes and stored the Broom, Brush & Pan, Ironing Board etc. The Master BIR did have a rod to Hang Clothes but only 5 Coat Hangers. The Air-conditioning system was good but would some times short out and not work.

The Hosts were lovely. Gardens were beautiful and liked the Entry and Fish Pond. Barbecue Area and Facilities were great.
