Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaNoise factor - one night (the Friday) guests above us terrible until 2.45 am. Made 2 calls to desk for security but according to Neil no-one actually came. So after long day's travel from Mount Gambier, the chance of a restful might disappeared - some people are just selfish and self-centred drunks.
Breakfast excellent. Location great and will be better when river frontage work is finished.

AustraliaThe room had a stale smell when we arrived, as if it had been smoked in recently. There was a lot of noise from outside our room in the evening and early in the morning (people talking loudly, passing vehicles).
The room was a typical motel-style room. Reasonably spacious, basic amenities, but nothing special about it. Location across the road from the Murray River and not far from the centre of town was good. Reception staff were friendly.

AustraliaNo lift to first floor apartments - not shown anywhere when booking that this was so. A small table on the balcony for drinks, not comfortable about putting glass wine glasses on the balcony balustrade (if they fall, its onto paving/people on ground level). A plastic jug to fill kettle as difficult to get kettle under bathroom sink tap - only place to access water for kettle. A small ice cube tray to make ice would have been good. We stayed for 3 Nights so made use of the lovely vista on the balcony.
Breakfast was cold when received to our group. Once raised with staff apologies and a refund was offered. due to challenges in the kitchen. Appreciate the offer but staff should aave been pr-active in initiating there were kitchen issues not wait for complaints. Staff after our initial discussions then discussed issues with other patrons awaiting the ir breakfasts. i appreciate they were young staff, and post-Covid there are challenges ( I myself am a travel agent and am fully aware), I didn't see a Senior staff assisting. Loved the outside seating area, even better once the work completed on waters edge.
