The wind and the flies but good screens kept the little devils out and I guess you can’t do anything about the weather - It is WA in Autumn after all!!

Breakfast not provided but we knew that - not a problem. The accommodation provided by Jess and Jeff was outstanding, with a view over the quirky garden - very interesting !! We had done a little research as to what we should go and see and Jess was an expert in making ideas for some additional places to go - these were great, right down to The Upstairs Restaurant for dinner!

Absolutely stunning property. The suites are huge - beautifully furnished and equipped. Jess and Jeff are the nicest hosts - extremely friendly and very helpful and informative. The accommodation is private and peaceful - we loved the evenings spent star gazing with a glass of wine! There is so much eclectic and quirky artwork to explore around the gardens too. We highly recommend River Retreats Kalbarri and can't wait to return. Thank you Jess and Jeff for a splendid stay!

Everything about the accommodation was perfect! The peaceful environment, the location, our room we stayed in and the facilities. We loved how we were surrounded by nature and how peaceful and relaxing it was. Definitely the best accommodation we have stayed in so far and will 100% be back! (:

Well appointed, quiet location, nice garden outlook, swimming pool was great after the trails. A few minutes drive out of town. Host was available, but invisible, a good thing!

Fantastic quiet semi-rural location on the edge of town. Jess and Jeff were wonderful hosts. The accommodation was very comfortable and spotlessly clean, and the front deck with its outlook across the garden full of quirky artworks was a great place to sit and relax.

Didn’t like that unit 2 had to walk in front of unit 1 to access their place. Would be better if guests at unit 2 were able to access their unit from the side their unit is on. Unit 2’s car would be on that side too.

There are no laundry facilities which was a bit of an issue for us as we had travelled for quite a few days before. There was also no laundry facilities in town as the laundromat had closed.

Very comfortable, clean and well appointed apartment. Jess the owner was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed (except laundry facilities, see below)
