How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The property needs better maintenance. Paintimgs at some places, better cleaning and better around the pool area.

The lift was dirty. The rooftop pool area needed some TLC.
The apartment was excellent…clean, well appointed spacious and comfortable. The rooftop pool was lovely.

The shower door didnt close properly so water went all over the floor.
Our Apartment 303 was a huge 2 bedroom both with king beds,1 bathroom and combined toilet, huge combined kitchen, dining room and lounge room with a laundry including a dryer tucked away along the hallway. The apartment was serviced every day, rubbish removed and towels changed plus tea and coffee, dishwasher tablets, T Towels and extra washing powder topped up each day, as well as plenty of toilet paper. Both bedrooms were a good distance from the other one and both had huge builtin robes plus a good amount of coathangers. There was an outdoor seating area with a large table and 6 chairs but no BBQ. Magnum Serviced Apartments are literally a 5 minute walk around the corner to all your restaurants in the middle of Darwin CBD, free underground carparking was included. Only a 10 minute ride in an Uber to the Mindi Markets costing around $11.00. The price was excellent at around $205.00 per night, we will definatley stay here again.

Second bedroom had a hole in the ceiling, realistically, nothing was a problem, is just maintenance could be done a little better for presentation purposes.
The apartment was of good size, very cool for the hot NT weather, very well located & comfortable. The accommodation also is prepared for late flight arrivals.

Central but quiet location. We loved the rooftop pool and outdoor area/ garden. Amazing view and the flowering jasmine. Apartment was clean and very spacious, the mattress was firm and excellent to sleep on. All staff were super friendly and very helpful.

The pool surround area had no lights, at least not functioning, which can be tricky navigating your way to the pool at night.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. They accommodated our request for extra time at the pool after check out which was really great for a late flight home. The rooms are very clean and had everything we needed.

My lounge room blinds were broken.
Apartment was spotless. Checking in was seamless. Checking out was seamless. Staff were polite and friendly. Having laundry facilities is important.

The elevator played up. The blinds needed attention. The air con in the main bedroom was very noisy so we slept in the other room.
The location was fantastic. The staff were lovely and helpful. The accommodation was very clean and modern.

Nothing to add here. Everything shown in the promotional material is accurate.
We had an exceptional stay of 13 days. Staff at the desk or room service were friendly and so helpful. For the price one cannot expect a super view. In the center of Darwin you have everything at your fingertips. The bed was most comfortable. We needed parking so Magnum fitted the bill.

There was an odd smell in the bathroom that came around now and then but it could be related to some issues with the drainage of the sink?..other than that an awesome apartment.
Large space of the living room and the apartment was quite convenient with the location to other places of interests...the swimming pool had an amazing view of DARWIN City both at day and at night
