We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

Such a lovely and comfortable cottage! The location is fantastic - in a lovely quiet neighborhood that’s just a few minutes drive from Blackheath shops and plenty of parks, walking tracks etc. The cottage is very well appointed with loads of dvds, books, puzzles and games. We travelled with our 10 year old, 4 year old and 9 month old kids and there were plenty of activities for them to play with, they absolutely loved it! The cottage was very clean and modern with great facilities, comfy beds and lovely central heating. There’s a smart tv with multiple subscription channels (Disney+, Prime, Netflix etc), a Nespresso machine, a high chair and even a stepping stool for young kiddos to reach the toilet or sink etc. Very thoughtful indeed. Eco friendly / non-toxic hand wash, shampoo / conditioner and body wash were also provided in the bathrooms as well as earth friendly cleaning products. We had such a lovely time and would definitely book a return visit for our next stay in the mountains. The communication from the hosts was fantastic and very helpful too.

Very comfortable bed, good quality linen, nice quiet property. There was plenty of room in the living room, and a large, well equipped kitchen. It was good to have two bathrooms, one with a spa bath. Even though the weather wasn’t the best, we enjoyed our stay. Thanks!

AustraliaNo full length mirrors in the house, which was only an annoyance as there were 6 people getting ready for a wedding. Otherwise it wouldnt matter.
Perfect location to walk to town, quiet street with a leafy outlook. Great for a family or couples. Lovely large fireplace and comfortable lounge area. Considerate to have a small supply of olive oil, napkins, dishwashing tablets and cleaning stuff. Every area was clean and the linen was hotel quality. Very quiet location. We will be back again.

AustraliaA bond of $300 is debited from your credit card when the final payment is made. It is returned a week after you leave. That was fine for us but just letting others know.
The cottage has a lovely large back verandah and 2 bathrooms. The kitchen is large and well stocked. The location is a pleasant walk to the shops. Communication with the hosts was excellent.

United KingdomThe standard of cleanliness was not up to our expectations. The bed linen and towels were clean, but I had to wash all the kitchen equipment before use, there was a lot of dust and the barbecue was very dirty. The carpets and some of the furnishings are past their sell by date as they are stained and probably need replacing. This has been mentioned, along with a broken kitchen blind, in previous reviews but not addressed. Extra charges which were not made clear on the Booking.com website were added, including a credit card charge and a large refundable deposit. We kept receiving emails from the company which owns the cottage telling us not to have extra guests (which we had no intention of!), warning us about cleaning charges if we left anything dirty and even asking us whether we wanted all the beds made up. We found this unnecessary and offputting. Given that we actually left the place cleaner than we found it this was frustrating. This is a lovely place to stay in a great location, which could actually be wonderful if it was given a deep clean and some refurbishment.
Location was excellent, and the cottage was very nice- spacious with comfortable beds and good facilities and equipment.

AustraliaMinor issues. Lamp with blown bulb in lounge room. No outdoor lighting on the back deck. Torch but no batteries. Strobing down light in second bedroom Drying rack in laundry needs replacing. Back deck boards need repairs as nails are coming through and surface is rough. It needs a sand and paint. BBQ was great but no bbq tools ie long handle tongs
Location- very quiet and easy walk into Blackheath and Govett’s Leap Beds very comfortable. Quality bed linen and towels Lots of extras- shampoo/ conditioner, hand wash. Kitchen was well equipped Lounge room was lovely and open fire was brilliant

AustraliaI tried to contact Accommodated when I booked through Booking.com as I did not realise that there was a secondary booking agency handling the property, this was not made clear on the Booking.com website, and Accommodated did not respond to my calls or my emails. I did not agree with the authoritarian/disciplinary/extremely strict set of rules that were provided to me after I had fully paid for the property. This did not provide any flexibility to have a family member or friend call in for a cup of tea or share a meal. This information should have been provided upfront before any money was collected, so that any guest knew exactly where they stood.
