The flood lights illuminating the hotel were kept on all night making the room rather light for sleeping.

There is some noise at night but nothing too noisy. There are earplugs in case your sleep is light.

The location of the hotel was pretty convenient. The central station is just in front of the hotel and there is also a tram stop a few blocks away. Although the hotel and the rooms are old, they were clean.

There was some late noise - 3 am but I was warned by staff and they did put earplugs in room - did not really mind the sirloin steak ( special) I ordered for dinner was not great The room was kinda odd so tv was miles away form the bed It was kind of expensive for what you get as a solo traveller - though much better value if there was two people

Great locale for an early train trip to catch an early flight. Good pub feel and beers on tap. Easy to book. Reasonable value if two travellers

Known fact of light rail noise and frequent pedestrian crossing sound alert and extremely loud voices that eminated from outside of the adjacent Madison Hotel 24 hour sports bar, thank you for the earplugs , however my stay for the week I became used to all but the early hours loud voices across the street as I don't cope with ear plugs. , not the Hotels fault !

There was no water at all for 15 minutes on one morning at 7.15am which meant you could not shower, the toilet would not refill etc. Also the internet is abysmally slow which is not acceptable for a room in this day and age costing around $200 per night. I think Australia Post snail mail is quicker!

Very good location with access to a range of public transport but also within easy walking distance of things to see. Double glazed windows so the room was quiet. Plent of place to eat and also buy groceries, coffees etc. quick acccess 24hr with proximity key

Room was a little noisy as we were on the corner.

Location was great, close to the station and light rail made it easy to get around Sydney. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our meals were great and not expensive. Room was clean and comfortable.

The accom is fairly basic, but you get what you pay for.

The hotel is brilliantly located for a rail travel enthusiast. The accom cost is good and the staff helpful. The TV worked this time.

Lacking a microwave oven. And the Wi-Fi was the worst I've experienced in probably over a decade. As slow as old dial up. That's unacceptable in this day and age.

The air con was really noisy and you can’t open windows so you had to have it on The curtains in my room didn’t block out the light from the neon sign outside and that kept me awake Bed was ok but a bit springy

Bed comfortable, but with only a doona-filled sheet, had to be dismantled to remove doona to cope with a warm night. Lots of street noise.

Location good for connections to public transport. Pub grub at reasonable price is a plus. Room was roomy with a good desk to work on.

I WAS WORRIED ABOUT THE NOISE FROM THE STREET WHEN WE ARRIVED BUT AFTER 11 PM IT ALL STPPPED. DIDN'T HEAR A THING AFTER THAT.

Bathrooms need better cleaning and wasn't able to drop luggage off for storage before 9am on weekend

Location was perfect, friendly staff good sized rooms with AC - rooms are basic but have everything needed for a weekend. Close to Surry Hills and 2 mins from Central Station without the noise.

Expected train noise due to location but Air conditioner was also very noisy. Perhaps this needs to be repaired. Ear plugs were provided on the nightstand.
