Bathroom facilities are a work in progress, but in the meantime very clean and adequate.

The Royal Hotel is a classic country pub. It is a credit to the Sea Lake community who took over the pub when it closed and have done an excellent job restoring it.

The staff and service was amazing. It’s a chasing little motel with a little pub and an amazing restaurant on site. It is good value for what it is, there have shared bathrooms which are kept clean at all times. It’s a really old charming building with limited facilities so be realistic in your expectations. It’s perfect for 1 or 2 nights stay if you wanted to go to Lake Tyrell or night sky watching

1)Unclear instructions when co-op with bookings.com (the charges &payments, place to check in, the facility actually exists). 2)quacking sound on the floor was quite distracting over night unfortunately. 3)the actual room wasn’t as expected (no kitchen related facilities located as described and balcony is actually shared, no mirror nor bench in the room). 4) No information booklet for the stay (not expected as a hotel). 5) only 1 toilet & shower spot for the entire floor (not very convenient when coming with a group of people/family as you will have a queue outside 🫠). 6) both lamps on the bed side are not function-able. 7) Rooms on 2nd floor (need to climb the stairs)

We were on the first floor which had 10 rooms. There was one toilet and one shower for women and the same for men. The "breakfast provided" included some scraps of bread, and 4 packets of cereal. We only got milk because it was offered to us by another guest, who had brought their own. The fridge was completely full so there was no room to put a couple of items we wanted to store in there. In respect of the room, there was nowhere to put anything or hang anything up. It was ;like being in a backpacker's hostel.

Bathroom grubby and no hot water for 2 mornings One toilet for whole floor other was out of service kitchen always grubby as many overseas workers staying and dishes were not always done One night very noisy but during the week ok Staff were lovely and I told them my concerns I’m not sure if the owners listened. No air in room as windows pained shut so aircon on all night

Very noisy, we stayed on a Friday night and as the rooms are above the bar it was impossible to sleep until 11pm. The other guests were very noisy too in the corridor.

Staff were too busy serving beers in the bar upon our arrival to welcome us. Stood there for almost 10 minutes waiting for service. Couldn’t get near the bar to order a drink due to locals sitting there. Hard to get bar staff attention. Had one drink then went to the room. Place was noisy until after 1am meaning very little sleep.
