How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

TV didn’t work (but was compensated with free meal at the pub). Heater provided in room wasn’t enough to keep the room warm during the late night/early morning (lucky I packed extra blankets)
Room was tidy. Plenty of towels and little things provided. Enough milk in mini fridge for tea or coffee.

Bathroom door didnt shut, but everything else was ok, hot shower clean etc
Great location in the main street. Pub was great with happy hour and entertainment. Didnt have a meal there but heard were good.

Room was all we needed. Maybe the carpet needs a shampoo and a cover on the air-conditioning. It would just make it look better. Overall we were totally happy with our stay, Thank you Happy new year.

The rooms are being renovated. Freshly painted in modern colours and new carpet. While this is being done there was no wardrobe and nowhere to place plug in bedside lamp to bring it to bed height.
Very convenient location in main street. Food in accommodation tasty. Staff friendly and helpful. Walked me round to accommodation entrance. Lovely old world feel . There is an original sitting room on upper floor where rooms are and a wide balcony overlooking main street.

Rooms could do with some repair of the obvious deficiencies (missing tiles, hole in ceiling). For longer stays I would suggest some general modernisations such as new carpets, duvet covers, etc.
Basic, functional room which served my one night stay, however, in need of some TLC. I slept well, though, great location with plenty of parking in the back. Small fridge, coffee & tea. Not to forget, the friendly staff. :-)

The room was hot. There were no windows and only glass french doors to a shared verandah which had no blinds or curtains. The toilet door was broken and the bath and shower curtain was dirty.
Dinner was delicious and the music gave the property a nice atmosphere. The chef and bar staff were very friendly and helpful

Just needs a good renovation, air conditioner only blew hot air, very old model, no shower gel or shampoo/conditioner, TV no bigger than a tablet.
The location and meals were good.

The unfinished tiling works in the bathroom floor & shower. The cracking in the bathroom wall tiles. We had the cleaning lady ask if we needed new towels as we were heading out on the first morning. We said no and didn't get new towels the entire stay(4 nights).
Location great, reception/hotel staff helpful. Knew we would be dealing with bands Friday & Saturday night but the noise wasn't really an issue.

50 km per hour speed limit on empty road
Never been in the area and used this opportunity whilst driving from Melbourne to Sydney and Brisbane. Quiet place without any fancy extras just to sleep overnight.

The heating wasn’t great. The reverse air con in the window only blew cold air and the provided small oil heater didn’t warm the room very well. Also, the bathroom door was broken in our room. It was difficult to open from the inside the bathroomand someone had to let you out from the room

Unfinished tiling in bathroom. Small TV.
The pub entertainment. The purple retro sink, toilet and soap holder. Clean bedding, and room smelled nice. Warm heater. Real crockery and stainless cutlery. Big shower with great shower head and good water pressure.

It was old decrepit, draughty and occupied by several undesirables. On the first night, there was a break-in in a nearby unit, and on the second night, I had to report a fight outside my door, and later that evening, a car was stolen from parked next to my own.
Hi, had expected to stay inside the hotel on arrival. I was told my room was in shanty motel set of buildings at the rear of the hotel.

The bathroom in our room 3 was in very poor condition with many missing tiles and exposed concrete. The paint on the bedroom ceiling was peeling badly and the TV remote was missing. The TV was not working as a result and was a very cheap unit.
The bed was clean and comfy, water pressure was good.

The allocated single room had not been made-up, however they upgraded me to a motel room at no additional cost. So it all worked out OK.
I did not have breakfast, although I have had lunch there previously and it was quite good. Sorry, what was the other question?
