There wasn’t anything we didn’t like, but there are a few things to be aware of. The house is on multiple levels, which, for us, added to its charm, but it might not suit everyone. The beds are what you would expect from a beach house, which we didn’t mind, but, again, they might not suit everyone. And the shower in the master bedroom is in the spa, so getting in and out might be a problem for older people. But there is another shower in the family bathroom.

This property lives up to its name. It is a quirky beach house with lots of rustic charm. There are five bedrooms to choose from, and multiple areas in which to relax. Unfortunately the weather didn’t allow to us enjoy the outdoor areas, but the pool table and bar in the games room was a great bonus. The family area at the front of the house has a large comfortable modular sofa, and unlike, many holiday houses, it has a good sized smart TV. The master bedroom also has a smart TV. The dining area has another feature not seen in most holiday houses, a surprisingly large dining table. There is also a smaller breakfast table. The location of the house is great, close to town and in a quiet street. We really enjoyed our stay at Rustic Retreat.

The only thing we didn’t like is the mattress on the beds we used - I felt were a little old & too soft - I suffer from a bad back & the older/too soft mattress didn’t do my back any favours….this was the only negative.

Lovely big home with plenty to do & a lot of space! Enjoyed the games room playing pool & air hockey! Great living area - kitchen, dining table & lounge also with plenty of room. Location not to far from beach either!

Dishwasher had issues (not emptying properly) and probably needs replacing. On arrival many of the dishes and cutlery were dirty and had to be hand washed prior to use. Tap in kitchen very loose Of concern was that someone entered the house while we were absent and changed over the washing machine from a top loader to a front loader without notifying me. We had laptops and valuables that were put at risk.

Very spacious .Easy to find a quiet corner to read a book. Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Homely feel. Kitchen was well stocked with a vast range of all the necessary equipment. Walking distance to the beach and town. Great location. Highly recommend to friends and family

Some rooms are very bright as soon as the sun starts to rise. Shower in the family bathroom was unusable as water went everywhere. BBQ was very dirty and toasted sandwich maker wasn't clean

Beds very uncomfortable. They made us pay for a bed that they claimed had been broken. There was no proof of this and when we contested as there was no way our toddlers could have broken this they automatically took money from our card without our consent. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and all aged and it could have been the properties way of replacing old beds for new ones.
