Rooms are a little outdated, couch was uncomfortable if you’re sitting for more than 5 mins. But they still have everything you need, we stayed in an apartment room with kitchen.

Pool area was perfect to just relax, heaps of seating and a swim up bar. Easy 5 min drive into the main strip of port Douglas or the marina. Staff were friendly. I’d happily stay again.

Rooms could do with some new lampshades, these are still the same from when it was QT and are showing their age.

The gardens are beautiful. There is a ramp to lobby. Unlike many hotels in the Cairns region this hotel is accessible for people of all ages and the staff are very willing to accommodate this. The mould issues that plague many Cairns hotel rooms due to carpets being put in the rooms seem to have been dealt with here.

We requested room cleaning in the middle of our stay. The cleaner made our bed nicely but failed to clean toilet and bathroom. It was left dirty. And when we returned to our room, we found both our balcony doors unlocked. Very disappointing. Even though we requested no room cleaning, the cleaners still entered our room , with no notice, while we were half naked. They showed us no respect, not happy.

Pool and seats great, room size great. Some staff, like Lilly was very nice .

It was a shame how early everything closed in the evening. The bar was not open on any evening after 9pm which was a shame as it would have been nice to relax with a drink before heading to bed after returning from dinner.

The room was perfect with everything you could need for a week away. The pool was great and we both loved the pool bar where the staff were so friendly and helpful.

A little Bit confusing getting around to find your room.

We loved the restaurant, pool and pool bar. Staff were lovely! Room was clean and had everything we needed.

Had some issues with the towels. Noticed people take muliple towels in the morning which leaves quests with none at 2pm check in. Would be ideal to get your own towel provided in your room for the pool.

Every morning during our stays there were no pool Towels in boxes. As we were going out on tours in the morning this was not helpful. 3 staff gave us wrong directions to unlts location for Jasmine

The bed was very uncomfortable, it was 2 beds put together. Also the cutlery in the breakfast room was not clean both times we ate there, but the food was very nice

They’d scrimped on the essentials, the kitchen was poorly equipped, mattresses and sofa were very uncomfortable and the wifi nonexistent without a dongle.

The breakfast was the same everyday, I suppose they save money with one cook. Eggs, bacon, sausages, baked beans and mushrooms. The only thing modified was one type of pastry. Fruit in little bowls of melon, watermelon and usual cereal sachets of rice bubbles, cornflakes. Pay extra for cappucino. I couldnt do one more baked beans and eggs! Rooms are extremely basic, hotel like, the rooms are not 4 star. I used to work in hotels. Mould in bathrooms, cheap toilet paper, stains on carpet. They wanted to charge us over $700 for an extra night as I'd made an error on my dates, this is ridiculous considering the low quality. We paid $3000 for 7 nights, 2 rooms, no housekeeping, so had to go to reception for towels, tissue paper and toilet paper. We have just arrived in Drift at Palm Cove for $300 per night, right by the beach 2 bedroom and its just gorgeous! The rooms are top notch and you can tell the difference straight away! I wish we knew before!

The frog pond was wonderful, although does need some cleaning.

The rooms could do with a paint and general update. The restaurant options on site were very limited to options and it was best to go to town to eat each evening.

The pool was fantastic and great place to hung with the kids each day and generally the resort was quiet. Onsite parking for vehicles was easy.

No elevators in entire complex even for those staying on the 3rd floor. Bar drink prices were insane and weekend surcharge of 10% makes it an expensive place to have a meal and a drink. Other oaks resorts I have stayed at previously are more better

Leaky toilet flushing cistern. Grumpy, condescending receptionist at check-in. Confusing entry, exit points into and put of the resort car park.

Good location. Breakfast was great. Great pizzas. Friendly staff.

Wifi signal did not reach our room. For a 4 star hotel, we expected to have wifi to do work. Very disappointing.
