Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe first night the house security alarm went off twice in the middle of the night 00.30 and at 02.53. This was a shocking way to be woken up obviously but as we were very jet lagged it made it even more unpleasant. We emailed Accommodated the next morning and they said they would message the owner and get back to us. They didn’t get back to us but at least the alarm didn’t go off again either. Secondly our red topped bin for general rubbish went missing. Initially when I messaged Accommodated about this on Saturday afternoon I got no reply. When I messaged them again on Monday morning just before we left they said they would look into it with the housekeeper. Again we got no reply so left our rubbish securely wrapped in the porch. The outside veranda overlooking the golf course is very nice but lacks shade so is unusable for a lot of the day
The property was spacious and comfortable with fantastic views across the quiet golf course. Finding the property and access to it were easy. The location was perfect for exploring the area around Blackheath and the Blue Mountain NP generally.

Australianot really a dislike just a little bit more relaxed using a closed in wood fire rather than an older ‘open’ fireplace.
classic 1950s home - very roomy and clean. brilliant veranda and view over the golf course. it is an easy place to enjoy with comfortable furniture and floor to ceiling windows in the lounge. not too fussy and amazing location.

AustraliaThe $40 credit charge fee which was steep & unfair + $350 bond . My other family who booked in Katoomba & Wentworth Falls at up market accommodation had no such extra cost., not happy :( We were too busy cleaning/stressed due to the warning they would deduct any additional cleaning from the bond. A holiday should be stress free that's why you go on holidays but I found I was cleaning when I got there (BBQ) & then cleaning again when returning, this time the house & the BBQ so it really didn't feel like a break unfortunately.

AustraliaWe could have done with more detailed instructions regarding the "smart TV" We did not think it very smart at all. For instance we could not work out how to adjust the volume and Channel 7 with its sister channels was not available. (This particularly annoying as we wanted to watch the cricket.)
The location was superb, as it overlooked a golf course and was well away from noise. Very peaceful. The amenities and quality of inclusions were in keeping with a high class establishment.
